Looks like they've got their facts straight in this one. After all, they've got us playing our play-off second leg against PNE at Brammall Lane!!!!!

Aswell as captaining us to a league two championship.

Poor reporting as the comment at the bottom proves...

Well that can’t be right, Leeds had a transfer embargo in January and weren’t allowed to pay a fee for any players

So was Doyley but it's a buyers market when it comes to Town.
Any offer over £300k and he would have gone (and of course he is worth more than that- any decent top half League 1 regular under 30 should be)

I don't agree. Doyle's price matched the club's valuation closely enough for a deal to be done.

£300k for Morsy would be rightly laughed at.

Bizarre.

A story that discusses a potential Slade signing punctuated with questions whether the Manager should stay or go.
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

Clearly ill informed, seems to have been taken directly from the king fut article, and I disbelieve everything in any article that claims we are in yorkshire

A story that makes me wonder where we're playing Thursday's home game.

Apart from the Mark Grew comment which would give it credibility if recent

I don't think we need telling that Cardiff would be interested in our better players. After all, if you go to a shop and get an absolute bargain, paying peanuts for a high-end product, you will always go back.

I'll have a little £50 bet with you he doesn't go for under £300k?

Lazy journo sees king fut article, has grew's phone number so rings and asks him 'is he any good' story published

Not sure he will be here that long. I hope we can get another full season out of him as if we lose him and Ryan it rips the heart out of the midfield

Very probably, but Grew could easily have killed if off by adding "but out of our price range" as he'd ought to know what the journo was up to

I think I said this at the Brighton Conference - the wage structure has got to change for some key players, not only because they are worth it, but also to safeguard their asset value.

Morsy has said publicly that he has his own private development plan which involved him settling down to honour his current contract then bettering himself next year. There is no chance he will sign another one at a slightly better rate.

We have got to give Tendayi, Jimmy, Sam M, Sam C top L1 money, the like of which they could have earned with Bristol City, Preston, or MK. DA/PC talks over budget improvements are not about increasing squad size, they are about keeping quality.

Maybe we could trim the coaching entourage in some way but I suppose PC would fight that ! Reserve team an all to come out of the budget.
God I hate this league.

Just lazy journalism. Think Grew made that comment about him being a championship player in January before we played Vale.

And they are obviously linking Slade with him due to the fact that Slade has to cut costs and bring in lower league players now.

I think the crucial factor is whether the young un's are good enough for the bench. One Drew equals 3 young un's.

So, having some fun with total guesswork and assuming everyone out of contract except Jimmy is released ....

3 players Morsy, Darikwa, Clucas at £4k a week = £624,000.
2 players Evo, Robbo at £3k a week = £312,000.
2 players Hird, Ryan at £2.5k a week = £260,000.
1 player Tommy at £2k a week = £104,000.
2 players Jones, Jayo at £1.7k a week = £177,000
5 players Banks, Gardner, Raglan, Harrison, Gboly at £1.2k a week = £312,000
2 players Chapman, Dezzy at £0.8k a week = £83,000.

First team squad budget = £1.872m including new contracts for Morsy, Darikwa, Clucas, Ryan.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on
