Do you think the figure will increase anymore between now and the "Early Bird" Deadine?

Slowly. Three wins before the deadline wouldn't hurt!

I'm sure they will go up quite a bit, I was talking to a chap in the queue for tickets on Friday and he was saying he hadn't renewed yet as he was going to pay on the last day before the deadline to keep the money in his account as long as possible. I didn't know we had season ticket holders from yorkshire

Considering the meeting was last week and we'd sold 4400, by the early bird deadline 2 weeks today, I don't think we'll be far off 5000, especially if we're at Wembley

There's probably quite a lot who prefer a quiet life who will go when there are no play off ticket sales to compete with.

I took the 4400 quoted as being 2014/5 sales in total, not next year's.

I think west bars did the same as I cannot see how he could jump to the conclusion he did when the actual quote on the website is
'We’re currently at 4,400 and I’d like to get to nearly 5,000.”

Quite clearly referring to sales so far this summer

How is it 'clearly' referring to summer sales?

I would take 'currently' as a reference to the season we are still in.

Of course he was referring to season ticket sales for 2015/2016. If he was referring to sales for 2014/2015 and stated that we were "currently" at 4400 and would like to get near 5000, we would not expect to sell nearly 600 more tickets for a home season that finished last Saturday!

Or he could mean that we have 4400 season ticket holders for this season and he'd like to get to 5000 for next season.

"We’re currently at 4,400 and I’d like to get to nearly 5,000.”

That's clearly what he meant.

By the way, did Turner use the term 'unexpected expenses' at any point?

I'm told that's a phrase we'll be hearing quite a lot over the coming months.

to be fair Chris, Teflon is still new to the job and will be finding all manner of hidden costs and unexpected expenses - its not as if he has been there 3 or 4 years and would know the ins and outs of the business
A new hope.

He obviously meant we have 4400 season ticket season tickets holders at the moment and next season he hopes for 4900 or he means we have sold 4400 for next season and we hope to sell another 500 or so

Hope that has cleared it up

Anyway have you heard the rumour that Cook met with Turner on Friday about budgets and told him he isn't interested in the Pompey job

In response to a question about season ticket sales, CT said that sales have been very good and “well up on last year”. He added: “The finance deal has helped. We’re currently at 4,400 and I’d like to get to nearly 5,000.”

Reading that the two Bold references SALES & LAST SEASON surely refer to 2015/2016 rather than 2014/2015 as the Home Game entitlements have finished.

Regarding the meeting with PC & CFC I too heard the rumour and yes there was a lot of words exchangd over next seasons budget and also mentioned PC wasn't interested in any outside interest unless, his Budget Expectations were not met and definitely not till after May 25th

The gist I got was that he wasn't interested in Pompey no matter what. If that was true, it is a start

He was only interested in the club matching his own ambitions for CFC "Financially"

Maybe the reports of Pompey scratching around for £150K has warned him off, lets hope so

I think cook should be trusted with a better budget if he thinks he can move us on. He's made £1.5 - £2 million in the last season. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money. I doubt he would put the club in to financial meltdown, it's about progressing the club to the next step. Who knows what might happen with our current crop in the summer should we fall at the final hurdle in the next week or 2? We could lose Morsy, Clucas, and tendai for big money as well as Ryan for nowt. How's he supposed to build if not given some slack on the financial reigns?

Add the transfer money to all the additional income - sponsorship from the big screen, additional gate money, savings on the IT ect.... And the wisest investment we could make is to keep happy the bloke that's made all the last 2 seasons success and extra revenue possible.

I don't know if any of that made sense, maybe we could all just pray for championship football next season.
Here we go again!
