Seems to think they have lost 5 or 6 first teamers already.

pathetic, boring thinking that comes with having Mr No Personality as captain and an idiot in charge

same thinking that saw us woefully behind the times in the world cup

same thinking that selects the dullest opening partnership in world cricket

same thinking that selects someone who can't get a first class county game because he is a 'dependable' option

always want England to win, but I'd love a drawn series here as long as it gets Moores sacked and ousts Whitaker

Our overseas has had his visa declined which is a massive disappointment... However 2 people who i expected not to play this season have confirmed they will be.

Looks like going into the first game of the season I have about 20 players to pick from. Not very often that happens at Hundall!

are Hundall in the YDCL?

not sure you need an overseas at that level of cricket (not being derogatory about the standard, just think that overseas aren't really needed below the top few divisions of the league pyramid)

Why is Moeen Ali playing for Worcestershire and not England? I've not got the stats to hand but did he not do pretty well in the Tests he played?

Dunno if it is a genuine possibility but I also wouldn't be averse to getting a fired up KP back to face the Aussies.

Ali has been injured...believe he is being lined up to fly out for the next test but not 100% sure on that.

Would appear Swarkestone have signed Australian test spinner Michael Beer for this season!

Yes we are, and yes your right we don't need one. Its certainly not the best standard in the world. But when his accommodation is sorted and he is paying his own subs it seems rude not to!

Madness. Speculation about the contents of any contract is to be discouraged!

Young Lad called Mani Batra. Played for Punjab U19's and had a season in SA as well i think.

If you remember Varun who we had a few years back, he put us in touch as they played in the same academy.

Although it's close to the deadline I'd have thought there would be a few more added come the deadline on Thursday. Marehay and Alfreton from our league spring to mind as clubs who would normally have one and don't on that list. I thought the transfer list was pretty short as well tbh.

Josh Nicholas was previously at Eckington and played for Ambergate last season as well.

Praying ours can bowl straight unlike last seasons!

Agree with earlier sentiments as well, no need for one any lower than Div 2. If you can't get there without one then maybe you shouldn't be there in the first place.

Yeh...i thought things were a lot quieter than normal. I suspect both lists will grow as you say post the Thursday deadline.

It's criminal that KP is not in the England side. Love him or hate him, he is a very special player and has a gift that cannot be taught or coached. Yes he's a strong character and will rub no end of folk up the wrong way but that's where a management team should earn their corn rather than taking the easy route.

I'm sure that if you spoke to the previous incumbent of James Whitaker's position he could tell you a few tales about KP and others. At least under Uncle G they were a winning side with a winning formula. He just got out at the right time!!!!

Why would anyone half decent want to play at Grassmoor?

League tweeted yesterday Matlock have folded their seconds. Kev to Ilkeston and Steve to Denby confirmed on the transfers but won't see anything about Pembo as Bassetlaw don't do anything similar.

Been talk for a while things were going to go belly up so looks like it's finally happened.

Nearly signed for Clay Cross when i was there a few years ago before going to Staveley cos they paid him. 99% sure he was being paid at Matlock but cant believe Grassmoor are in a position where they would pay anyone. They had a good season last season mainly due to the runs Chris Fletcher scored.
