i wonder if evo has other irons in the fire and has took his eye off the ball a bit,he is a big unit that looks like he needs plenty of work to keep in shape, his high 5 it app is doing well perhaps he is looking to the future not the present.

Then we simply stopped as if we'd been gassed.

Evo has never looked comfortable on the floor, today he was shocking, but for the type of game we play he too often stagnates the move by either passing back to Tommy of returning it from whence it came rather than moving the play foward. I felt a bit for Humphries today, he was totally dropped in it by a shocking pass from Roberts. O'Shea should have got a shout in the build up to the second and Darikwa committed suicide committing for the ball. Sloppy performance but exacerbated by really poor errors.

For me that means raglan not evo.
Humph did a good job when he came on but I thought if Jones had to be replaced at half time then clucas to left back and ariyibi to the wing looked a better option.
Some of our senior players were not at the races today and coventry must be amazed at three such easy points
Whatever work we do in training on corners is not working and again today we were zero threat from them

Also Lavery was the only one to test him with a long range shot which nearly went in under his body but we did not follow this up with more shots
When we finally put him under pressure in the second half it looked as though his nervousness had gone and he was more confident
Surely our bench should have spotted how nervous he looked at the start and tried to play on it?

That's what gets me about Evatt, everybody says his legs have gone but mostly his mistakes come form pure bad judgement and or control on his part which is amazing given his experience and pedigree.
Anyway sad to say but there is many more problems in our defence than just Evatt

Sorry but Rags and Hird have got to start for me from now on and this should be our number one pairing from now until the seasons over IF both are fit. We need to at least see if there is legs with the pairing before looking to redress this in the summer if not. There is no future in Evo and whoever and his pairing with whoever has no chance of us sneaking a playoff slot because as Cook rightfully says... If we can't defend we don't deserve anything - And how many times have we said that this season?

Agree, but we've got to start somewhere and omitting the worst offender for a promising up and coming young defender is a start, the other is looking to recruit well in the summer and that means at least one CD and a LWB, unless we have any aspirations of this season and we look to the loan market.

A bit of strength to make his header a difficult as can be should have been the least he could have done. He was poor today, along with Roberts and Evatt.

We were woeful off the ball, we are always so slow at pressing the ball out after it's been cleared
