A few more quotes:-
"I don't think Jonny ever intended to spit at Cisse."
"Footballers, athletes in all sorts of sports, have a tendency to spit in the periods of respite after action You can do it without even thinking."
"Not one aimed at Cisse."
Talk about biased !

I think he hit cisses leg..but it's about the intent and gesture..as vile as it is Cisses did it and held his hands up, Evans is trying the sly underhand way out..

intent is a minefield. cisse clearly did it & has no way out, evans, however reprehensible, could escape punishment as no one but him knows if he intended to hit cisse or not.

Yes I get what ure saying, but I think it's obvious what he meant by the gesture.

I think Evans should get more for trying to lie about it.
At least Cisse came clean...

That just encourages potential footballers to lie. Absolute joke of a decision which just makes the authorities an disgrace.

I agree. Should have been given longer for trying to squirm out of it.
Both disgusting but at least Cisse has been man enough to admit it and apologised to all concerned.
To anyone who has watched the footage of the incident it should be pretty clear that Evans spat at Cisse. I don't believe Cisse would have spat if Evans hadn't done so first.

Exactly. I believe that is what the authorities will use to try to justify this cock up aswell.
In one word. Retaliation.

Agree totally. Scholes is one of my favourite (non CFC) players, but the lad has not got much upstairs. I've concluded that during his career, rather than being quiet and unassuming, Fergie banned him from speaking to the press too much for fear of him saying something stupid.
