I. I'm not going whilst CT is still the Chief Exec night.
2. I'm not going 'cos they sold our best striker who hasn't scored yet for Cardiff (unfortunately) night.
3 I'm not going til they have a proper scoreboard night. This will be a very special event with the curtains left open and lists of those present displayed in flashing, very bright, blue on a pale blue background letters, sponsored by the Chad.
Lets hope Doyle gets off the mark tonight at Millers.

We are missing out on revenue here, plenty of people would have loved to have a gourmet pancake tea at the proact!
The club really is a mess - I blame Turner!
:rolleyes:Never mind Proact, missed out on mine last week.

The catering at the club is excellent, there are loads of events, all making money for the club and people are hung up on one day
To those saying its the biggest eating out day of the year, so what? And anyway surelyvthat would be Valentines day anyway!
And is someone really trying to suggest nothing at the proact cos there is summat at the dog track? Really? Not really direct competition!
People need to get over this, I initially responded to the mothers day thread then started this as a bit of fun and it has amazed me that people are genuinely having a go at the club for no mothers day function
the club do loads of events, the catering staff work very hard and do a lot to make events a success and keep money coming in, moaning about one missing function is quite frankly ridiculous

Not enough. I think that's the angle people are taking here, myself included.

Simply pointing out that despite your doubts whoever oversees wining and dining at other A&S Leisure facilities views Mothers Day important/lucrative enough to stage events.

Still very sad and petty to moan about club doing nothing for it
You don't get why people are asking why one of the best banqueting and dining faciclites in the area isn't open on one of the busiest days of the year, after announcing a financial loss of over £1,000,000?
Have you been drinking?

financial loss was last year
perhaps opening the venue would cost too much and mean we have to charge uncompetitive prices when compared to other Mothers Day meal venues (i.e. pub lunches)
Hospitality at games is £60-70 including the match ticket (£25ish) and taking into account the stadium overheads are split between plenty of other stuff on a match day
Would Mothers days meals at the proact for people be a viable option if we had to make it £50 a head to make any money? Premier banquetting venues do not come cheap
and anyway, it is still a pathetic thing to moan about, especially when people moaning are doing it from an uninformed viewpoint as to why there is no meal - I also do not know why but prefer to not be mardy and trust that the catering arm of the business is run well enough to know what opportunities they have and what they should be putting events on for
as I stated on the other thread - if we are moaning about things as petty as this, we must be running out of things to moan about

both of those venues are open for normal business that day so adding a Mothers day meal option makes no difference to them, just an extra option they can offer to punters
the proact would be opening specifically for the event which makes a massive difference as the event would have to cover all overheads of opening up
