Well, since he took over he's managed to sign an outstanding manager from right out of the blue, he's completely revolutionised the clubs non-playing structure, he's acquired a scouting and youth training set-up second to none at this level and some way above, and done it all without increasing the debt to anything unmanageable or even significantly higher.
That's a quick list off the top of my head - you can probably think of many other improvements.
I don't attribute the current success to any one individual, but at the side of all that the pages of whingeing about ticket sales and a clerical error in player registration is irrelevant.
By any measure that I can see we're a successful business - it doesn't come through luck.

Heaping praise on someone for something they didn't even do - impressive. Of course, it's well documented that Dave Allen was the man who sought Paul Cook after seeing his Accrington team play us off the park despite losing 4-3. Maybe Chris Turner brokered the deal to get Paul Cook from Accrington (which is hardly something you could chalk up as a success seeing as he was on a pittance at Stanley) but it was Dave Allen who made Paul Cook his man.

As for the other positives, I'm not sure how you can be certain that Chris Turner was the catalyst for all of them, if any at all. Can you confirm how you know such things? Not being smarmy with you there, I'm genuinely interested.

For all that I have my personal views on what CT and the Club has got wrong or right, it is unfair to blame every ill on a CEO without crediting the same person with every success. Of course the truth for every "manager" will always fall somewhere between the two.

Lol, H Again's inability to read posts rears its ugly head... Again.

I've commented on Chris Turner's amateur statement (which you seem to think is okay... fair enough, you twist and turn constantly trying to defend anyone connected with the club in any shape or form so that's expected) - I haven't blindly believed anything edmonds has said so, although I know it's hard for you, try and stop chatting shit for a bit. Ta.

Looks like another thread that had sensible debate has been hijacked to become all about a particular message board user
A new hope.

I'm sick to death of the usual suspects hijacking every thread to gave a go at Chris Turner. Can the mods remove any such comments and put them into a separate thread so the rest of us don't get bored senseless please

Interesting way of looking at things. Someone else might speculate that the on field success is little do it him and that most of what he touches goes rather badly.

It might have been a more credible angle had you left out the bit about him signing a manager out of the blue when it's well documented that that move was driven entirely by Dave Allen.

I assume that's the British experience. I don't know, but he might have an Indian parent or wife.

Boco was born in France so might have dual nationality, neither of which excludes him from a visa.

There's 1 highly respected poster on here, freelander2, who thinks the the Business is in deep shiiite despite this year's success. He has asked for a meeting with CT/AC but has so far not been able to get in. I eagerly await feedback when it does eventually happen.

Don't you think the man on Deedah, who I would categorize as someone who doesn't do 'online' and who is by no means in a small minority, should have been given an apology because he could neither get through on the phone nor have the option to queue?.

When eventually we get knocked out of the cup, we'll be able to start a thread on estimated money made since the 'irrelevant' clerical error before the MK match. This will be the figure, 6 digits long, of how much the irrelevant error could have cost us. Ironically, I'll put all this down to Armand 'cos there's no way the FA would have ordered a replay if we hadn't won.

Do you actually do anything but whine about other people's contributions? Bore off and try thinking of something else for once.

I don't think AC has posted on here for a few weeks, be interesting to hear his thoughts re the meeting requested by freelander2.

I think Dave's jumping to conclusions, the Club requested a meeting with me.

Correction. I'm told that they asked him for a meeting. Courtesy says they should commit to it.

For a self-employed bloke paid a retainer I know from experience that Nick can be in touch at any point.

I expect that Iain works the time needed regardless of the contracted hours whether that means editing in the early hours or losing Sundays.

The fact that the Club's social media seems to respond from early morning and into the night is testament to the work put in.

Hear Hear (spelt correctly 'cos I've googled)!!.

They both presumably do what management tell 'em, and it's quite obvious that Iain uses his initiative above and beyond.

I still blame Nick though for spreading the confusion that the £1m council loan was a gift. It never was. In fact it turns out, and I know this 'cos I've asked, that the loan was probably the most important help that the club has ever received in it's hour of need. So, thanks Council. Pay them back DA, then you might get another one at some desperate time.

Is that a tourist visa or permit to work which would take longer in my opinion

And is the process the same for someone who probably has a French passport or a Benin passport rather than a UK passport?

Same process according to Indian Visa website

It's all immaterial anyway, I just think Boco knew a lot longer before he went and said nothing to club hence the comments re letting Paul Cook down, justifiably so in my opinion.

I have no problem with him seeking better employment, we all have that right, and it's not easy to let employers know you are looking but in the circumstance that Boco was effectively thrown a lifeline by the club it would have been courteous for him to put his cards on the table and give the club a chance to match what he had on offer.
