Regarding the two hundred 'missing' tickets, the difference between what Derby say they've allocated and Turner's statement, I simply no longer believe a word our CEO says.

Then he thinks being bombastic rather than humble in the face of criticism is the appropriate response - infact he seems to seek gratitude for requesting five-something rather than two-something tickets and flogging them as quickly as the Club did!

I actually agree there're always those who find reasons to complain no matter what CFC do, however you just cannot change the purchase time at such short notice, only publicising the move on social media which significant sections of our fanbase don't use, and behave as if it's somehow the customers' fault.

Football is unique in that it's the only business where people with limited qualifications and even less intellect can find themselves running multi-million pound operations.

Chris Turner is a prime example of this, and we can be sure this won't be the last time he's accused of incompetence before responding with crass waffle.

That bit has been the biggest gripe with fans I think.....the actual sale of 5500 is very impressive & shows how far we have come.

Someone was always going to miss out on this one though with the demand being that high. If only demand for home tickets were like that all the time

You must be really missing Barry Hubbard. He'd have sold them all himself from the Hole in the Wall.

Mind you, he probably wouldn't have signed Cookie on.

There would be hundreds of threads on here demanding we build second tiers on all the stands

If the demand was that big, they could have done a beam back in the lounges, lunch etc

My favourite is the 'Gerrard paid' statement.

Mishandled the communications?

As a direct result of one of the clubs communications plenty of people had NO CHANCE to even try and get a ticket

This is the bit I find completely wrong

Sell to STs, Members first - Fine
Rest on general sale

Announce sales are to start online at 10am - fine

People expect announcements like that to be correct and plenty did not check back and did not see the next announcement saying they were actually on sale at 2:30am

and for that there should be an apology and a proper explanation not another "we've done nothing wrong" comment

What about a beam back to the big screen? Might be too late to organise now though

He seems to be unouchable, to say they would have all gone straight away at 10am anyway, just shows how out of touch he is, no appreciation whatsover that fans are upset because they were denied a fair chance to get them because of the decision to change the plan

exactly, I would have been a lot less annoyed had I logged on at 10am been put in some kind of queue and due to however many getting in in front of me not getting a ticket - rather than the reality of not even getting the chance to try and buy one cos I dodn't know the times had changed

fortunately I am now sorted, but there will be people who missed the announcements as I did, thought tickets were on sale at 10am and now do not have one through no fault of their own and never even had the chance to try and get one!

an apology would be nice, the club should acknowledge that their bad communications robbed lots of fans of the chance to buy a ticket

I genuinely think you'd struggle to find many (any) fans that believe Turner is doing a good job to be honest. A CEO should be a motivator, a good public speaker, inspire confidence from employees, customers and investors that they are following the correct strategy and have a firm grip on the current and future financial performance of the business.

As far as I see Turner has none of these attributes and when the brown stuff hits the fan he always responds in an aggressive manner blaming everyone other than himself.

He must be great at some aspects of his job that we just don't see considering he is still in employment by CFC, personally I'd have dispensed with his services a long time ago.

or 200 for the brunch deal? derby are far less likely to not know whats going off than us.

Exactly, The Club may have mishandled the Communication (From the Top/Best Media Department in football) but as Toby said.

"They've had 5,500 and they've sold them. Am I missing something"

In fairness to the media team - they do a cracking job at keeping those who use social media updated with what's going on so should not be receiving any criticism directly.

The instructions regarding situations for tickets were clearly communicated to them from behind the scenes as and when - as soon as they had the internal info, they would post externally via social media etc etc.

Does it really help matters when tickets for example have been bought for people who didnt even know who we are playing on Saturday?

As I stated on an earlier post how many so called town fans will NOT be able to put names to faces as we shake hands prior to the match?

I haven't got a season ticket but restricting St holders to just 1 was silly

With 5,500 tickets and around 4,000 ST holders how would you have managed that?

Story and Interview here from 1:19:30 onwards

http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/p02grdtf

Why does Turner constantly interrupt and talk over people when he is interviewed? Its extremely annoying and his bluster makes him sound completely arrogant. This is pretty much a self-gratifying monologue from the start, where he yet again sounds condescending and talks down to supporters like people like dirt, basically. Shocking.
