IF it's anything like the cricket I assume he will be getting silly money. Doesn't he currently share a flat with Armand? I hope he can afford the rent on his own! Actually there have been suggestions that Bocco has been a help to Armand so it might have a knock on. (No doubt some on here will not see that as significant)

Here's hoping he puts a good word in out there for armand

Boco's no real loss. Amazing how he keeps messing Cook about

He's probably more of a loss to us, than we are to him

As for messing Cook about, he was non contract and when playing, put 100% into the club

Totally agree

How people can condemn him when they have no idea of the value of contract(s) offered to him. The fact he would rather play non contract and work part time suggests the contract(s) weren't worth that much

They other thing I find remarkable is that when Turner states "contracts', people believe that means more than one, this guy is so loose with his tongue it could mean absolutely anything

Totally out of order for Turner to attack Boco. He's got every right to turn down a contract. which ought to have been offered to him in August when his stock was low

CT on Boco;

No player is bigger than the club

He's let Paul Cook down

Contracts offers (plural) were made and he turned them down.

Why when I hear Turner criticise someone for letting Cook down do I hear the phrase 'he who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones' running through my head

For all we know Cook wanted Boco and Turner refused a better contract, in that case it would be Turner letting Cook down

There has always been a Contract on the table for Boco. When he arrived last season, at the start of this and still now in January.

It is just that Boco thinks he is worth more. As we do not know the full terms we cannot truly comment.
The bit I am confused about is that if he was Non Contract, he obviously got paid when he played and that appeared to be fine for both parties, so I would imagine that price would be similar in the contract on the table except a time scale and Bonus agreement.

So what could have been the stumbling block.

He knew about the Indian offer a while ago and didn't want to commit to a contract?

You just have to look at Boco's playing career to realise he never stays long at one place. Reading between the lines he goes where he thinks the money is better, and who can blame him. He left Sligo once to go to Shangai, and ended up coming back to Sligo after 6 months, so would not be a surprise to see him back in the UK in the summer.

Would not be a surprise if he came back to Chesterfield as the oner constant in his career is that he keeps coming back to work with Paul Cook.

I personally think he is a good player, but the club can only offer what we can afford, if he thinks he can go elsewhere for more good luck to him.

How do you know that ?

It contradicts what his business partner, who is clearly in the know, has told us on here

Based on what Boco is telling him though so we dont know if its the full picture unless his business partner is his agent as well so is involved in the talks.

Agreed, but no reason for Boco not to tell him the truth

There is a little bit of me thinking that this Indian thing has been in the offing for a while so to stay on non contract terms, even if it means a bit of pie packing on the side, makes it very easy for him to walk away to what i assume is a decent pay day without any hassles at this end.

Don't see why Boco has let anyone down if he was on a match to match contract?
I'm guessing the Indian deal has been in pipeline for a while though? (When I went it took ages to get a visa and a 5 hour wait in an industrial estate near Southall to pick it up)!
You can't just jet off over there without a bit of planning I don't think?

the timing of this (Indian season starting now) leads me to believe Boco has known about this deal for a while and that is why he didn't sign a contract

no issue with that at all, he can do what he likes and always tried hard when he played
