Today's defeat just shows how strong the team at the top of the tree real is.
Obviously we know we have been beaten by a far superior team in Swindon- really the only team to have properly turned us over.

But now where do we need to strengthen to be up to that standard?
IMO I don't think we are miles off but I'm thinking about areas where changes will be implemented.
Next season I can see Richie, Banks, Evo not getting a sniff of a game or leaving the club. Boco by rumours/reports has gone already.
Doyle and Ryan look 90% gone come end of season and possibly Clucas and Morsey if someone shows serious interest.

From what I can see happening (using my 'Made In Taiwan' Crystal ball), at least 4 wages/squad numbers will be available. This will enable to evolve the team by fees being paid for players and freeing up wages to make the strength of squad better. I know some players will still be contracted and others won't but PC will know who needs to go and what areas need attention.

I'd like to see reinforcements sooner rather than later.

With Boco gone, Banks nowhere, Gardner unreliable and Ryan borderline injured it needs to be done this week for me otherwise we're precariously placed being so reliant on a small core of key players.

Add that to the list.

He needs to be getting busy this week if we're serious about aiming for the play-offs. In theory we've made a few quid from the Derby game - whether some of that's available is another matter.

Realistically there are now only 2 places up for grabs and a dozen teams - many of them far better resourced than CFC - feeling they could be in with a shout. That being the case, I don't think there's going to be any serious speculation. Of course I wouldn't expect anyone from the Club to openly say that, but actions speak louder than words. We'll know one way or the other in the next couple of weeks.
We're on our way

I'm still of the opinion we aren't, and won't be, a top 6 side. I'm happy with the fantastic progress this season and the strong platform Paul Cook is building for us, but I think we are short in a number of departments.
I think we will continue to build and evolve the team and squad, possibly aided by 1 large transfer out, and that a top 10 finish will be our ultimate position.
I would still like to see a specialist right back in the squad, a winger with pace (Marshall from Port Vale for eg,) and a 'back to goal' striker to hold up play for the midfield attackers.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.
