He has to rank as one of the worst ever managers I've witnessed at CFC

Ruthless.by Matlock after their glorious victory against Alfreton in the DSC last night

To be honest he was on a hiding to nothing, bit like he was at CFC

There is an object lesson here, never appoint your physio as manager, generally not good for the club or the physio

I went to see tham against Grantham the other week for the first time since our pre-season friendly and was shocked as to how poor they were, Charlie Dawes included, Rushbury just stood and watched in silence, arms folded looking clueless. I reckon the decision to sack him was made then with the board lining up a replacement during the last two werks, seeing he will be named today

Charlie Dawes has got progressively worse. I've seen them a few times this season and so have Matlock. If you thought they were shocking in the Granthem game you should've seen some of the other performancesx

Not in the least surprised. Shocking manager. You do have to question the appointees though....what was going through their heads when they decided he was the right man for the job!

As it stands, we look nailed on for relegation, which will be a disaster for the club, but TBH we've (just about) dodged bullets fir several seasons now.

Atkins should have gone long before he eventually resigned.

We have to hope that Hume can keep us up.

Well possibly not in a plumb position: I wouldn't employ him as a coach and if I feel that way...etc

That question is being asked by some on our forum, but TBF initially he delivered the goods and the consensus seemed to be that he and Foster were winning and workable; how wrong can you be.

I spoke to him once down the Lane (about 4 months back) and didn't form that impression, but it's fair (you could argue) to say that some Town fans don't remember his reign very fondly.

We need new players ASAP and the one we've just signed to shore up the defence, put through his own goal for the winner at Halesowen Town; you couldn't make it up.

We lost that one against 10 men having been 2-1 up, so the new guy's got a job on.

He initially delivered a few results with us too. A super 4-2 fightback win against Oldham from 2 down springs to mind with Reevesy doing us a favour missing a chance to equalise for them. We also pushed west ham very close in the league cup live on sky. He also signed Chris Brandon, Caleb folan, and I think Carl Muggleton maybe our bravest ever keeper. It all went wrong very quickly though.

I always felt some sympathy for Rushberry, the town job was much more difficult back then. I wonder why he keeps taking these jobs, didn't he have a sandwich shop or something?

I also wonder if his seeming arrogance was a defensive reaction to some of the horrible abuse he got.
