The middle overs with both bat and ball are our main issues.

I know it was more of an exercise in looking at players for the WC but we should be putting up more fight than that. I genuinely don't know what are starting 11 will or should be come February. There are positives though, Root has excelled and should have rubber stamped his plane ticket, Woakes for me has overtaken Jordan as he has added runs to his game and Jordan isn't consistent enough. Taylor needs to go, he's waited an age and took his chance.
Still not sure about Tredwell as spinner but who else do we really have? Rashid maybe? As for Cook well its too late to change captaincy as there's just that tri series left and I'd expect the WC starting 11 to be playing those to gel together. Morgan is also a man under pressure, shouldn't be going in the form hes in but when on form hes up there with the best so theyll probably take that chance
All due to credit to Sri Lanka though, the old guard still showing they can battle with the best of them, Sangakkara has been amazing all series especially

Watched KP this morning while at gym in big bash in Australia got 66 all the class in the world.
What a shambles it has become when he cannot get in the one day team.
Laughable really

Shame he was completely outshone in the game by some random Aussie as kp's lot were stuffed out of sight.
I'm not convinced he should have been dropped initially but since then it's not like he decided to go out, score a load of runs and make himself a case for getting back in. He sat around, barely played for Surrey, scored no runs when he did and whined about the situation in his book whilst chief cheerleader piers Morgan was a XXX on Twitter about it all.

Even if he had picked up the best form of his life once dropped and was scoring runs for fun in all forms of the game he still wouldnt of got back in the england side lets be honest.

Every chance that may have happened but if he was as bothered about playing again as he claimed to be he should have at least tried instead of just whining about it.

Edit: Gayle on form is a joy to watch, anything you bowl is dispensed in the stand. Yes got 53 from 17 so far, unreal

Plunkett, Rashid, Brooks, Lyth, Bairstow, Lees.
I would question one or two of those including Plunkett, Brooks and Bairstow.

We have Sunday nets booked at Netherthorpe school this year, used to be at the cricketal.
Sunday is probably the worst day for it so i've booked a bowling machine for Wednesdays at the cricketal as well.

We're doing Sunday evenings 7 til 8 so it works quite well for me. Never really got on with evenings in the week before especially when we ended up doing 8:30pm til 10pm one year....was a right drag after a day at work to drag yourself back out again. I'm playing football on Sunday afternoons once every couple of weeks so i'll probably try and alternate it a bit.

Sunday evenings were always a pain after i'd played football Sunday morning then gone home had Sunday dinner and unwound. Was hard work getting up for it.
We have just stuck an hour in half 7 til half 8 on a bowling machine for 3 or 4 of us.
