Obviously not, but if Danny Wilson was manager of chesterfield would you swop him for PC. (Not knowing what you know now)

Unfortunately our Danny for CFC boss ship sailed a long time ago. Shame as I would have like to have seen it.

No, I wouldnt swap him. If you forget him as a player for CFC and just look at his record as a manager - is he really what we need?

Did well to Barnsley into the top flight, indeed almost a miracle.

Went to Wednesday, and didnt do much ending in the sack for taking them to the bottom of the division.

4 seasons at Bristol City, well backed but didnt get out of the division.

Relegated with MK Dons
.
Did well enough in 2 seasons at Hartlepools, getting promoted to L1.

Poor couple of seasons at Swindon.

Was never going to be a winner at the Blunts.

Overall, his record doesnt look that good, and based on his career as a manager only, I see no reason at all to say I would want him at CFC.
A new hope.

I think he falls in the catagory of journeyman manager now, when his time is up at Barnsley he'll probably get another lower league job, but hopefully not here.
East stand second class citizen.

Look lads its like this
......

We have a manager who is not to proud or stubborn or even just to thick to admit that when his team gets beat by a better team to admit....we have been spoilt by this....Don't judge danny or any other manager by PC's high standards, he is proving to be a star in the making.

Thought both Derry (Notts) and Johnson (Oldham) got the balance right by complementing their side while acknowledging the realities of the game.

Managers' interviews are a total waste of everybody's time and never contain anything informative or even, in a lot of cases true. The winning manager tells you they won, and the losing manger is not bothered about the fans but is just telling the Board his excuses.
Even worse is interviews with the players, and worst of all is Robbie Savage even opening his mouth.

Guessing this is because of his comments re the Yacub sending off, that was a horrific tackle and well deserving of two red cards let alone the one he got, if Yacub had timed that any worse than he did then Costa would've had a broken leg and been out for 6 months+. For the Welsh Windbag to try and defend it was beyond belief, Shearer and Linekar's faces were a picture!

Quite. I'm perfectly happy with making my own mind up about a game without needing to be misinformed by biased onlookers.

Typical, but my grumble is that he's arrogant, overbearing, contradictory and very often just plain wrong.
Nasty, cynical player whose mission in life seems to be to excuse the kind of play he used to indulge in.

Off on a slight tangent.Commentating on a Chelsea attack in which Oscars shot was parried by West Broms keeper and the follow up ballooned over the bar. ......Oscar.....Foster.....Costa
