Reminds me a bit of John Stones. I'd have him at right back with Margreitter and Evatt at cb, thought Jones had a great first half. I'd play Darikwa in front of Raglan. All this said Raglan will be on a high tonight brimming with confidence as he played very well.

Well done to the training staff as well. Anyone notice how he's bulked out since that little lost soul played at Doncaster? His composure and confidence for someone so inexperienced amazes me. How can Hird and pizza man displace him. IMHO he has made the position his own.

Sorry fishini, I've had to neg you as you to cancel out your 'plus' as you can't get a green un for saying 'pizza man' as I simply won't allow it ;)
If you can't spell Margreitter, just put Georg or even the defender on loan from Wolves would be better than pizza man

A couple of things. He occasionally takes 1touch too many. And playing on the right has Evatt or who ever playing on the left which which at times doesn't give us the balance we need. Physically he's far better now than 2 months or so ago, and can see him being even better as this aspect improves! In 6months I'd dare not think how good he's going to be, another one of Cookies possible gems in the making!

Banks looked a little lost in there today, though i dont recall him ever having a great game in that position, looked a far bigger threat in the hole last season. Step up in league too.

I'd agree with Raglan MOM. Solid throughout, comfortable on the ball, and stopped pretty much everything going his way

Banks does not make himself available forvthe ball if you watch morsy he offers his hand begging to get on it , banks is not a brave enough player he also imo isnt quick enough to play advanced..not good enough to make the step up imo.

Banks has been a bit of a disappointment this season...he was steady today but not a difference. Banks & Armand need to go out on loan for 2-3 months for me

Agreed. He doesn't offer much at all at the minute.

I don't think Banks or Gardener can make the step up. Shame because I really had high hopes for the pair. As for Banks he looks scared since his injury and seems to be going down the road that Nathan Smith did

I still don't think they've had enough game to pass judgement on them but actually Banks was no more anonymous than Gobern and there is no point comparing him with Morsy

It didn't look like we were playing with 10 men during the time he was on the pitch as some seem to be suggesting

Thought he was excellent a bit ott to say he was mom but he looks a great prospect, i thought ryan and doyle deserved those honours we missed sam morsy today though banks was not in the game.

Somebody buy this man a drink. He's started watching the match at last. Jimmy Ryan in my opinion had one of his best ever games for the club. Head and shoulders above 'owt they'd got in that area. Also, whoever the tactical genius was that switched Raglan and Evo around also needs a round of applause. I think that was me wasn't it?.

Raglan was outstanding, as others have said the pass for the second goal was a stunner as was Doyles touch, powder puff I was saying about our attacking players then Doyle pops up with two world class finishes. Ten yard over the bar, that's what I as thinking for the first go on you can admit it so were you.
Banks is not good enough for L1 i'm afraid as for Armand, well you will get those that will say he is raw, needs game time etc, etc the simple truth is he is crap. Cooky why did you take O'Shea off to bring him on. Let us all stop kidding ourselves, a fish out of water, clueless, was looking at the linesman more than the ball or his fellow players.

After the first 10mins I thought that Winnal and Cole were going to be a handful! But from then on our CB pairing and to an extent Tendi had them sussed. The defensive work on the training ground seems to be paying dividends.

I think he realised before the game he was effectively doing his own job and Samy's today and played that way from the start.

Exactly how I saw it, I initially thought they were going to be a to much for us, however defensively we really were superb today. e have a very good side at the moment, Robbo stop fecking diving, powder puff up front then Doyle finishes twice in a world class way. Football wtf do I know
