A huge concern of mine is that we have no strikers to bring on from the bench, surely we should be looking to bring someone in on loan to cover this area! We have Carl Lamb who is unproven and is not even making the bench even though he is one of the two strikers at the club.

agree.

Bit random but I've barely seen anyone say how well Gardner did on Saturday. He was very impressive imo.

I thought he was up there with our best performers to be honest. Deserves a start tonight thats for sure. My Walsall supporting friends were impressed with him as well as Morsy.

Yes , for a lot of the game I thought he was our main threat, one cross he put in 2nd half was a certain goal if anyone had attacked the six yard box .

Left foot to the back stick after a Cruyff turn? T'was a beauty, should've been buried.

I dont think in the 20 or more years Ive been supporting town weve ever had anyone who has consistently anticipated balls into the 6 yard box, whether a midfielder or striker.

The ball Doyle put accross the box late in the game was also a belter. Should have had someone on the end of it!

Jack was brilliant but I wouldn't have him down as a poacher as such.

Yet to win this season when Roberts hasn't started. Hopefully all to change tomorrow.

obviously true but is a misleading stat. We can cope more than adequately without Roberts.
For our highest win of the season, Roberts went off when we were 1-0 down. We won 4-1
We 8 Mansfield oh we 8 Mansfield!!

The annoying thing about that was that 3 of our players were already in the penalty box and not one of them took a chance by running forward. No question of offside either as there was a defender virtually on the goal line. It was a frustrating game to watch but maybe, on reflection, not as bad a performance as some have made out. They could have scored 3 or 4 and we could have scored 3 or 4, so the final score might have been anything up to 4 each.

Steve Norris

mainly because he rarely left the 6 yard box!

Gobern was decent but I'm not sure he's got the legs to do anything other than anchor, I'd prefer Ryan and Morsy at home running back and forwards.

Listened to Cooper on the Swindon site and he knew we changed our formation against Walsall but expected us to revert to playing two up top

He is going to be in for a shock if that's what he expects. He sounds like he is going to play 3 centre halfs so who are the going to mark

Swindon always play 3-5-2, I'm lead to believe. Always interested to see how that formation works. A few on here have said that it cannot work at this level so I'll be interested to see how they do against us tonight.

You are right, he is reverting to 3 at the back because one of the regular back three is fit again

Three to look after Doyle? Hopefully it will work for us

The thing I thought was strange was his comment on us. I wonder who does his scouting
