Who from?.
He's not contracted to CFC, that's why he plays for the CFC Development Team rather than the Youth Team . That's my understanding any road up. I do hope his playing status has been logged properly with the FL. I reckon he's an amateur. Perhaps somebody could clear it up.

With him playing against the Blunts and hes on the bench why could he possibly not be registered to CFC

He is registered - presumably as a player who can play for both Sheffield and Chesterfield.
CFC won't offer him a professional contract yet as it would buggger up their chances of getting an emergency loan goalie in after the deadline.

However i'm sure the FL would notice we were confident enough to shove him on the bench after we chose to loan our back up keeper out and that he played. If he's eligible for selection for the Blunts game them i'm sure he would come into consideration if we chose to try and loan a keeper during the few weeks the window is shut before Jan 1st.

I will try and find out what his status is I as told he had signed as a pro by a member of cfc staff but I'm not sure if it's correct, myles may well have played for Sheffield fc as some kind of loan as dexter atkinson was doing the same , Wright has not been playing development games as another keeper is in the nets so perhaps that's down to first team cover.

I'm sure Phil Tooley said that the youth team doesn't have a goalkeeper so he has been turning out for them.
Recently someone called Smith has been playing for the youth but Wright was playing previously.
I would love someone to explain the relationship between the development squad and the club in clear detail. Phil also has said the members aren't actually employees of the club although I assume we hold their registration

myles Wright is a signed pro , no such thing as amateur status.

Everybody who plays football has to be signed to somebody whether it's grassroots or professional, if you sign for an academy you are registered with the fa , chesterfield would have held his signature and at some time allowed him to play for Sheffield fc as some form of loan as he was still a youth this would have meant he could play in youth or age specific games so was probably eligible to play for the youth as well as the development at the same time.

That just leaves the paradox of him apparently being picked by Sheffield FC then.
I'm quite happy to accept what you say. He only played 1 game for the Development Team and, if you are right, must then have signed as a pro, so he can't play for them again.

Is that recently? Or do you mean semi pro as I thought Wright is (or was) in full time education

It might have been on their Web page months ago perhaps he played last year?

The person I spoke to says he is a signed pro I think it tallies up with what the cfc staff member said...no idea about sheffield fc only know that atkinson was on loan there.Just found out he played early on in the season against Gresley fc but joe green is now back in the nets for recent games.

I know they are in some kind of education programme and have employed a new bloke for "a "level tutorial I think without knowing many details but i imagine he will continue his education alongside being a full time pro it's not as though they are strapped for time.

I must apologise, having made a complete bollux of this.......
He's only played 1 games for the Youth Team - the cup win against Burton. I have no idea how many times he's played for the Development Team before that. I don't think contracted CFC players can play for the Development Team so, for example, you would never see a Youth Team or a First Team player turning out for the Development Team as part of his recovery from injury. You might, though, see a trialist, of any age.
I've probably made just as big a bollux of this explanation anawl.

I think you are just about right , development players can play for the youth team but I doubt they would unless short as the development will be keen to produce their own players like Wise First Team and Youth Team Cannot Play for development firstly because it's self funded and secondly due to age restraints.

As part of the Eppp set up most clubs have links with colleges and students do a NVQ or BTEC sport and also turn out for the college football team. Some clubs like Spurs have links with 6 colleges. The students have nothing to do with the clubs but do play in the clubs kit. What it means in effect is that there are hundreds of kids 16-19 playing football (which is the aim -retention and not dropping out of the game)- some though do give the impression that they are 'signed' to the clubs etc which has caused a lot of problems and confusion.
