I really can't listen to CT speak anymore, just seems to ramble on and hope to get things right.
I get zero positive vibes from that interview.

IMO we would have ended up in the conference at saltergate, we'd still have Hubbard in charge playing football that has no gameplan.
The club is in a much better position now, even if we are 7 million in debt, we own the ground and only administration can take it off us, which I think is a billion miles away.

Agreed, having said that, that wasn't a good interview from CT.

Thing is very little of it makes sense. If we knew we didn't have the budget why have we spent the majority of the summer chasing Higdon? Surely we knew his wage demands at the start?? This all smells like the rug has been pulled from the management's feet at the last minute. As for Turner he kept harping on about how this squad is ready for L1 yet at no point did he mention the fact that we currently have 2 strikers, one of which is has been made clear would be loaned out. Now this means in reality that either Cook was happy to start the season only with Doyle, or was lead to believe that there would be funds available for another striker. It's pretty obvious that for whatever reason, the chairman has now closed the wallet and it has left Cook feeling shafted and the CE the unenviable task of trotting out the party line. All in all hardly inspiring when prices have gone up 8%.

What we're currently witnessing is disappointing, yet the bigger picture is we're still on a different planet to what we had to put up with at Saltergate.
However.
The fans weren't responsible for handing Sheridan and Co four year deals.
The fans weren't responsible for standing by them, or for extending a quarter of a million pound war chest in the process.
The fans weren't responsible for the subsequent relegation, an event which massively impacted upon the momentum gained the previous season.
The fans weren't responsible for signing high salaried players, sacking Sheridan only four games in, or the lack of direction and purpose that followed.
The fans weren't responsible for the following turnover of staff that incurred further excessive costs.
The fans weren't responsible for the understandable lack of belief two years of falling short engendered.
Then whilst it's perfectly true that Paul Cook delivered a top three position pretty much all season, many performances remained unconvincing due to our inability to turn the entertaining football the Chairman quite legitimately refers to into wins.
And as for the concerts, it's not as if they lost money - infact how many clubs are desperate for the tens of thousands of profit we enjoyed.
Not to mention the money generated by various events in our lounges which, or so I'm told, continue to be popular.
Nah, if we've nothing to show for a Championship winning, Wembley visiting, Tom Jones hosting twelve months, I reckon DA ought to be looking at those who signed the contracts rather than punters who continually put their hands in their pockets.
Just as we're once again doing with the higher ticket prices.

......there's a moral to this story int there?.
And that is that this Board is making just as many mistakes as the old Board. The only difference being that DA can put his hands on the cash to shore up the problem, whereas the others couldn't - so they managed accordingly.

At our meeting last week it was said DA didn't think GB would have filled the Stadium. It will be interesting to see who comes next year for both concerts.

That interview was pathetic, worse than his Peak interview
He thinks a good player might "fall out the sky" THAT is our recruitment policy

What's all this got to do with the fans? It's not the fans who are here now, who have attended, it's the ones who don't attend, the glory seekers, once a season lot who TUrner and Allen are having a go at

All I want from the Club is to sign at least one decent goalscoring frontman and make do with some of the trialists. Last years squad is strong enough to keep us mid table, but we MUST sign a quality striker Doyle and Nanndo are not good enough as a pairing but as a striker partner for one other they will both get double figures.JO and Dan Gardner are well capable of chipping in with a good portion of goals. Then don't forget golden boots Robbo. Injuries apart, the defence and midfield will battle on and gain us useful points.I'm not happy but s long as we stop up I won't expect us to push for promotion this season, even though Yeovil and the Millers managed to do it.Expected average crowds 7000 last year, the Club should be grateful to the 6500plus who did regularly go last year, which was good compaird to Rochdale and Scunny. If we the fans turn up at the games as positive as possible at home we could surprise a few clubs in this league.Towards the end last year we had some really good singing and I loved the alley alley o song.COYB>
I think we will surprise some clubs- away from home though. Our game is probably better suited to counter attack football and less teams will come and par it.he bus

CT says some of the concert money was going to be put towards this seasons budget - last season DA announced that the gate money would sustain the football side of the business and other income streams would go to pay the debt off.
Also, CT has said we arnt selling any players and we don't need to sell players, DA last season announced we are a selling club.
I've also put £500+ in to the club this season so I've done my bit!

Gi'o'er' Dave.
The reason your pal and the old lot were >ahem< 'asked to stand down' was because Allen is still paying for the mistakes they made.
