Maybe it's just me but I read that as it's been trimmed from what it was expected / wanted to be and that the revised figure is the same as last season.

Looking at the teams in League 1 I'm still fairly confident that the budget would still be mid table. There are a lot of clubs there worse off than us...

Port Vale
Crewe
Oldham
Rochdale
Yeovil
Gillingham
Colchester
Crawley (maybe, FFP and all that?)

...off the top of my head. Then there are the teams like Coventry, Swindon, Notts County who seem to be all over the place financially.

There are the teams we beat last season who will have to adhere to FFP limits and no-one else has really lit up the division with their signings.

Whilst I'm not enamoured with the situation, it's by no means a done deal for relegation either. It is what it is and you crack on with it. All this doom and gloom is a slap in the face to the players who played last season. How many times did we say "too good for league 2"? Well now it's time to show it.

Exactly how i read it too, TF.
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story

Inspiring stuff isn't it? Nothing like positive vibes from the club to get you up for the new season.

At least in 2011 it took until a couple of months into the season before it dawned on us that things were not rosy.

So PATP was a 'Miserable failure and cost us a lorra lorra money' (Thought I was listening to a Cilla Black Tribute act! ) I'm sure I read that prior to the 2 for 1 ticket push, the Club stated that they had already broken even - so how does it then become a lorra lorra money lost ?- just another stick to beat the supporters with, it would seem. Loved how he sycophantically absolved DA of all blame for the things the fans were actually laying at his door - not DA's and then justified the number of backroom staff , who must take an enormous chunk out of the budget. I can't say I felt as though I'd listened to someone who was honestly setting the record straight but credit to Tom Hilton who asked the right questions- shame about the answers

Yeah, we'll all be prepared this time round. Imagine the boos when we lose our second home game on the trot....

PATP was always going to bomb - a day or so after the Ton Jones thing - what did he expect, this is Chesterfield FFS not Richmond and Harrow. Not everyone has the disposable income to do the two. (And if I hadn't been on holiday I wouldn't have gone to PATP anyway - I'd never even heard of the people playing!)
He's have made more money doing a karaoke night in the Legends lounge. The club got greedy and it backfired - don't blame us

I was a in a dilema CFC v Leeds or Derbyshire v Hampshire

The decision has been made especially if Cook feels he needs to protect the remains of his squad form preseason

...an enormous number of admin staff, who formerly also took an enormous chunk of the budget, made room for them. The nett effect is probably that we have saved money.
The number of backroom staff is right.

To be fair there are more people than you in Chesterfield. The timing was what killed PATP, the target audience was in the middle of exams and it was on a Sunday. It didn't help that after announcing it the bands involved whored themselves all over and diluted the market.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

You recommend watching the Derbyshire's one day side over CFC, things must be bad
