I personally would have thought a season flirting in and around the relegation places will see any investment overtaken by loss of income. Having said that we could have invested lightly or heavily and we still could have been near the bottom of the league, though you'd have thought with PC's good ratio of bringing in good players this would have been far less likely to have been the case.
