If you'd read my posts afterwards you would have seen that I've addressed that.

Morsy's only problem was aggressiveness - not insulting his teammates or a lack of work rate/effort. *completely* different. And yeah, Jones has been incredible so far, such a good signing already I can tell, great point well made.

Well done on contributing nothing to a debate that is now over with points that have already been made. Slow clap.

Slow clap is with you unfortunately, same old crap same old negative dialog. Even when you realise you are completely wrong in what you said, with players having signed with previous 'attitude issues' and made a good account of themselves as in Morsy, you try and deflect away rather than admit you're wrong. I can contribute what i like, when i like. You dont dictate what or when people can post, and thankfully that will remain.

He needs to have a sensible budget based on our ability to adequately fund it. You make me laugh somehow assuming the money will just be there. We will have a bigger budget but it will be low In relation to the other teams in the division hence it will be difficult to attract the type of player you want.
Cook has been backed all the way since he's been here as was Sheridan before him. It's how you spend it that matters.
I haven't any definite thoughts actually as at this stage it's a lottery of speculation. I'll happily leave itto the manager who hasn't done bad so far with his recruitment.

As Spireites, we should be fully aware of projects that have been badly funded, Dave Allen reminds us plenty of times! We need to give PC a chance to succeed, if we don't, it will prove costly in the long run.

I see promotion as a being like a homeowner moving from a 3 bed semi to a 5 bedroom detached, if it's not properly financed, you'll lose it, therefore what was the point in moving in the first place.

It disappoints me that you have absolutely no suggestions on who you would like to see PC bring to the Club.

What do you mean I'm wrong? It's a matter of opinion. I can't be wrong until he signs and shows whether or not he's a good player. I don't think you realise how stupid calling me wrong on such a subjective matter is, and if you think I'm a regular negative poster then I have no idea whose posts you've been reading but they're not mine.

I've addressed the Morsy issue above, if you refuse to read then that's your choice. He wasn't lazy, he didn't bad mouth fellow players or give off the impression he was bigger than Vale, he didn't say the players around him weren't on his level. If you don't understand the difference then I can't help you - maybe you could regale a tail about David Jones' multitude of inspirational performances for me instead, seeing as he's such a great example of a player with a bad attitude doing well for us, haha.

The slowest of slow claps for you.

he has never been a fancy dan he is a big strong workmanlike player,he played well at the proact.

He didn't actually. He kept getting caught in possession. If PC likes him, he must have formed his opinion before we played them. This is wor I think.....Colchester didn't rate him. He's had a cruciate. He's not as good as Ollie. L2 is his level. Goodnight.

He scored 1 goal for Colchester in 3 years, at league 1 level. The Rovers fans I have seen said that their team was built around him last season, and look where they ended up.

Don't be disappointed. Thanks for your house moving analogy. It was gripping. PC has got a chance to succeed. he apparently got the job on the basis of making a budget stretch so it's over to him. Of course I'd love him to have as much as he needs but that would quite frankly be naive wouldn't it when we know that the level of debt we have has to be managed?

Doesn't that say more about the coaching staff at Bristol Rovers than the player?

He did more than his bit to keep them up, wouldn't have made the PFA team of the year if he wasn't a decent player

The uncomfortable bit about this is that we'd be paying big money (according to the link posted) for a player who could well be a 'Togwell'. If he's not going to sit on the bench all year, who is he going to replace?. When PC considers strengthening, is he really thinking that one of Banks, Morsy, or Ryan is a weak link in the higher division?.

He may go on to be a brilliant League 1 midfielder, scoring goals from here there and everywhere. From what I've read from the people who watched him for at least a season (and the little I've seen) I doubt it. He's a CM who doesn't impose himself on a game, has apparent attitude problems... Look at our centre mids right now, who is he getting in front of? Look at their work rate. I just believe there will be better options out there.

Sometimes though it's just about a player going to the right club at the right time.

I seem to remember a lot of similar remarks and concerns when we signed Craig Davies.

He came with all the attitude problems, arrogance and had played for too many clubs.

He even carried the nickname of "Barndoor" as he supposedly couldn't hit one.

It may be just a rumour? It may be fact, but let's have faith in our management/CE as they've got more right than wrong so far.

I don't understand slating a player who may or may not be signing for us. If he signs we'll have time to judge him after he's played games for us. Slagging a player off based on hearsay and second hand criticism when you've seen him once or twice at best is very silly.

Anyway, stats don't tell the whole story, do they? The period at Col U you mention had nine months missing through injury and a change of manager which led to him being left out and you fail to mention his excellent scoring record at Watford in the Championship, his 15 goals last season or the fact that his fellow pros picked him in their team of the season.

Why not give it a rest, wait to see if he signs and, if he does, give him a couple of months to settle before jumping to conclusions as to his abilities.

Town fans have a very poor record when it comes to slagging off their own players but this is a bit unusual - we usually wait for them to sign before starting

This thread will be consigned to the great big internet bin in the sky when he signs for someone else.

I know it's cool to have a boo boy target for the fans but are things that bad (read good) that we have to pick one before he signs for us?

Some people need to have a word with themselves.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!
