And as usual rattled on about how he's signed for them over clubs in higher leagues etc....probably be claiming to sign a championship striker soon as well.
He also made some bizarre remark to say that this new lad couldnt play at Wembley...what kind of numpty would think he could!?

...said he had beaten off Wolves for his signature. Now, why would an ex-prem player turn down a bigger club, already in the Championship and with a recent history in the Prem, to sign for.......er, Rotherham???
Maybe Wolves only offered peanuts for a signing-on fee and wages? I think NOT!

The only possible reason is he has more chance of 1st team football at Rotherham, irrespective of which league they are in, and the Newc full back they have on loan may have put in a good word

galling in the extreme to see Rod Fern scoring. That's the worst bit of business ever done in the history of the known universe by a Chesterfield manager.

I assume you lot post accounts?
I think it was reported somewhere that their budget to get up was 2 million and is now 2.8. I think that was their chairman that quoted it at some point on deedah.

In other words a club moving to a new stadium and enjoying the boost to their fanbase that entails, then finishing League Two runners up (yeah, I know, but bear with me...) before continuing that momentum to reach the League One play off final, is carrying the same numbers we did to a lower profile fixture during a relegation season.
And let's remember Rotherham has more than twice the population of Town.
I guess all those local Bowels and Blunts prepared to turn up at the 'reverse Tardis' stop short of an expensive trip to London...

No spire, you are totally wrong and you are rather "hoping" that it is 'because we can't find
a sponsor' Presumably because you might find such a situation amusing to the single brain celled
organisms of your clubs fan base.
The Fact is Tony Stewart went on record when the stadium was named and said that it would stay
as The New York Stadium.
