Derbyshire is landlocked. Chesterfield is as far from the sea as almost anywhere in GB. So the relevance of "Sailing" to CFC is?

The town lies at the head of England's longest (and in parts driest) estuary-the Chesterfield Canal, as RN Blue will confirm.

Yes it was You'll Never Walk Alone that got booed at Saltergate.

All the lads near me hate it and actively try and stop it by singing anti Rod Stewart songs, which is a shame.

Try and forget the Rod Stewart bit, I say - just remember the Arthur Cox or Anglo Scottish winning teams that were a joy to watch, and the scarves held high on the Kop at Saltergate with pride, watching us sail to victory, playing great football, like at Leeds (ok we didn't win there but y'know) or Burton last Sunday...

Like sailing, cos it sounds good.

Don't like Molly Malone to be honest. Bit of a boring song that gets a pass cos it's from 'back'in day'.

I'll sing a long with it, don't get me wrong, I don't care too much what we sing as long as we sing.

If the East and West stand started singing flipping Barbie Girl on Saturday, i'd join in, just from pure happiness that they contributed.

Not a shame more like bonkers

Why hate Rod Stewart? Is it because of his overt Scottishness?

Not a big fan of Sailing I'm afraid. Prefer Bachelor Boy.

My main reason for posting is that I'm ecstatic to see that I have found someone (Smig) who agrees with me that Comfortably Numb by the Scissor Sisters is better than the Pink Floyd original.

I can't tell you Smig how much abuse I've endured at work for suggesting this!

Also I'd love us to drop the "club name is a sheet hole, I wanna go home" song, its uninspiring and just not true in some cases, York, Cheltenham etc. How does that get behind the team?

Agreed on "I want to go home" tolerable at Field Mill and the odd other place, but cringeworthy most of the time
