Boden - Not physically strong enough

Bowery - Cannot finish.

We are woefully short up front and lets be clear we need two quality strikers and not just one.

I can see Shez to pull a rabbit out the hat.

It'll be a Smalley type of player, you know, the one you don't expect to sign or never heard of and our management team bring the best out of em

I asked for an explanation to why we can't win the league?

Ive asked you for an explanation many times regarding your 80/1 odds with no reply..so maybe you`re not best placed to " demand " answers.

Lets hope they bring along their stout tunics for when the weather turns a bit nippy eh?

In Sheridan we trust.
Early days yet. The fact we aren't rushing into ridiculous signings seems positive to me.
Barry stated Sheridan had told the board who he wanted to sign and until the deals are done we wont know for sure.
Speculations great for banter but unless you know an insider, thats all it is, mere speculation.

Although why cannot it be annouced now like the Nathan Smith signing has been

Or am I missing summat

All we want now is Le Fondle to sign up

iirc Donaldson's contract doesn't finish until July 1st so it may be considered poor form/risky to announce until the day itself. All we can do currently is offer a pre-contract but on past events (Montrose) we probably aren't that keen to do that.

Replacements for Davies and Smalley. I don't think Sheridan will have failed to notice this.

"JDogg - Yeah i know what mean, 27 years old is over the hill for the championship!

More proof as if its needed that you indeed know naff all about naff all!"

JDogg - ask yourself this. CFC couldn't afford to keep a 25 goal a season striker in his mid 20's because of competition from Championship clubs. HOWEVER, we can afford a 28 goal a season striker who is 27 going on 28. Now I wonder why that is? Can we now match Championship wages? Or is it that his track record thus far, and relatively late in his career, suggests he's a good lower league striker.

I look forward to receiving further words of wisdom and enlightenment.

Because Craig was in a team of Champions that got thrust in to the lime light.

Donaldson did it in midtable fodder.

A fan would even say that the second was more commendable, but clubs seem to enjoy hype around a player, as much as talent.

PositiveOmen - don't you think it would be the other way round? To score 28 goals in an ordinary team might be viewed as more difficult than scoring 25 in a good team that had been scoring for fun?

Look, no matter how much we moan (I have done a little in the past)and I accept we all have our own opinions nothing will ever change. We will have to place our trust in JS and DA to build a competetive side, just like they did last season. Without paying any fees. I was once a strong critic of JS in his first year and I was justified IMO. Last season however he signed players we had never heard of and we strolled the league. This season I am sure he will build a competeive side that will easily survive in the league. Have faith

fishini - agreed, and no lack of faith. Just an enquiring mind and wondering as part of the process how JS can possibly keep defying the odds by finding players on the cheap? Good luck to him and us if he can. I suspect, in the end, we will have to match the market to get to the promised land.

Trying to make a comparison between CFC and Arsenal. Wenger keeps his side in the top 4 of the premier league by spending how much? When did he splash the cash like all the other clubs in the premier league. We have it seems a manager who know what players he wants, he recognises their flaws, he seems to able to overcome them and turn them into the type of player he want. Just because we have gone up a league does not mean he has lost that ability. You seem to think that by paying fees in some relates to quality in the said players. Can you not remember Lee and Gritton. £250k for one and £40 for the other. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate these two on quality?

one slight flaw in your argument, Crewe scored more league goals than we did last season. Their problems were in defence, they were very good going forward, as most of us can testify

Here's a quick question no-one's mentioned, how much did Brighton pay in transfer fees last season? I bet it wasn't much if anything. And I don't think Southampton spent much either.

I've had enough of people using good arguments to disprove RPL's points. Stop it please.
