I?m a massive Cook fan, and agree with virtually everything he does, however with one exception.

I was excited by us signing Akinola, I also thought he looked bright off the bench in a home game on his return from being on loan.

I don?t see what Metcalf brings at all and I feel Akinola is much better . With Fleck not available I would have liked ti have seen Akinola play

Metcalfe has been such a disappointment. He came with such expectation and apart from a 10 minute cameo down at Gillingham he?s been largely anonymous and injured.

the midfield needs energy. what is there to lose by giving akinola a run out?

Neither...

Tho metcalfe has potential... akinola ? Not for me, has shown glimpses but from his last spell here and now not really getting a look in this time, it was a gamble that's not paid off, he'll be released in the summer
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

I was more confused than excited when I saw Akinola had signed.

Exactly where I was , I didn't understand the signing nor did I understand the signing of Madden either. In answer to the question though neither for me , we should be looking at better in the summer 👍

He?s played off a big centre forward since his Scunny days at least! Injuries to himself and Grigg haven?t helped and not signing a Quigley replacement too. Our system certainly doesn?t suit him

i tend to feel that football people know more than me, it's their job, they've been in it for years, and also they work with these players day in, day out, however, i've seen nothing yet in metcalfe to suggest he is a better option for us than akinola, akinola is our player so would have liked to see him getting a bit more of a chance than he has but he finds himself behind a loanee who has made little impression on me, perhaps the squad ruling issue is one of the reasons metcalfe is above him in the pecking order.

when fit, Akino;a has to be the better and stronger option.

It wasn?t a terrible decision
He had some great games when on loan previously
He ran some games against higher opposition league clubs

Akinola for me everyday over Metcalfe.

Don't understand why he's not in the squad, must be what he's showing or nit showing in training, but he's by far the better of the 2
