So if we go out against Watford do we get £67000 or is it in addition to winning R1 (£41000) and QR4 (£9375)
Liam tweeted yesterday to suggest you get the whole lot but that seems strange

Liam’s tweet
Chesterfield have banked £117,000 in FA Cup prize money so far. £105,000 up for grabs in the third round. #Spireites

£9375+£41000+£67000=£117500. At least it was when I went to school!
I threw and extra few quid in for good measure!

Prize money is for each round you win. If we manage to win the next round as well it will double the winnings to over 200k.

Most pots don’t work like that
Eg Wimbledon winner is £1m
But they don’t get the £500k for winning the semi as well

In the VERY early rounds the losers also get some money....but I'm not sure what happens when a team withdraws and the other team is 'awarded' the win... does the team going forward still get some money??

I know what he means, do you get paid every round you win or paid for the round you. Got to when you’re out.

No, but things like Wimbledon don't have prize money structures that say things like "Semi Final Winners get £X"
They tend to just say losing Semi finalists get £X.
In the FA Cup because you have teams joining at 3 different stages, they do it this way to spread the prize money down the competition

We must be 200k+ up from this already with another decent tie coming up.
Fa Cup is still very magic to me

Every time we supporters say something like this, the club let it be known players bonuses and other costs substantially eat into the revenues.
But whatever, agree with your sentiments about the FA Cup.

Can’t eat into them that much if the club official saying we made more from the Fa Cup than we did a play off final at Wembley infront of 40k
It’s still very profitable for us in the last 3 years and probably our biggest income source outside of season ticket sales

I thought the club said the earnings from the Wembley game were negligible, so not sure that statement says a lot. The club didn’t seem to celebrate the FA Cup earnings at the 2023 AGM when they mentioned the losses we were heading for last year.

Yeah, because apparently National league take the vast amount of the profits from the playoff
