Would have taken a point before the game. I am disappointed that we were undone by a mistake and then fair credit a good goal. They seemed to target Hortons side and unfortunately he had one of those games.

Really enjoyed the game thought we gave them possession in areas that weren’t hurting us but then pressed and overturned the ball and played over or through them and managed the game well. If anything I thought we finished the last 10 the stronger and most likely to score .

Good to see Kabby and Clarke get some minutes.

It’s 2 points a game from the first 4 games.

We’ll be ok 👍😉…looking forward to next Friday under the lights

Good game to watch we should have won, fullbacks were both poor, banks was not in the game at all.Poor defending for the cross ,grimes has to be inside the sticks not outside, williams has to mark.Still a decent performance though.
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

Turned in to a big game on the quiet with Barnet’s start! 3 points needed

Not a bad result on paper but very disappointed to gift an underwhelming NC side an undeserved point from a very comfortable winning position

I thought we were the better side and more deserving of the win.
These go to eleven.

An absolute Pinball of a first goal let them in when it looked - AGAIN - that we might score for fun against one of the apparent favourites to win this sh !tty league - how any Town Fan can even think this sort of ****e can pose the slightest threat against us is beyond me! Their second goal was fair enough, but Jesus! We were ALL OVER THEM and outclassed them in every department. Luck like that evens out, and we'll have ours too. Have faith, Spireites - this season is ours...

I can't believe Dobra got MOTM. He held onto the ball too long, lost possession too easily.
He's a good player but he's got to learn how to play a quick pass, there was a few opportunities when he could've released the ball quicker but failed.
Not sure you were watching the same game. Best player on the pitch by a mile.

That was a great game & we’d have been delighted with a point before the game.

The best thing was that we still looked threatening all way through & looking to win….Cook style!

Draw away, win at home..it’s promotion!

Still unbeaten & we are scoring goals all over the park

This match was just a bad 15 minute spell from Horton, but he’ll learn & he’s been excellent

Enjoy your Saturday night peeps….don’t react to usual negative rebel scum on here (use the force)

Looking at the table we will have played 4 teams out of the top 10 by Friday night. So, we've certainly not had an easy start to the season.

Today, before kick-off we would have taken a point and Notts would have been disappointed with only the one. At the final whistle we were disappointed with just one point and Notts remained disappointed too. Horton probably should have tried to put his foot through the ball for their first goal but it appeared to come off his shin to Langstaff who took it brilliantly. Williams seemed to misread the cross for their second whilst King did nothing to put Langstaff off.

Whilst Tshimanga got more minutes he contributed little and unless Quigley was truly knackered after his work rate both Tuesday and today I felt it was the wrong substitution at the time. Their CBs were struggling with Joe's hold up play and he played a part in both our goals. After he went off nothing stuck up front. King, of course, got involved again when it wasn't necessary to pick up yet another yellow card so, at this rate, it won't be long before we see how good Sheckleford is. Two good goals from Mandeville and Asante to become our joint leading goalscoreers on 2 each as well. Ref seemed to make some strange decisions once Notts got back into the game whereas he had done quite well previously.

Anyway, 4 points out of 2 our favoured competitors for promotion in a week isn't a bad return but has also left us with things to work on improving. We still need to be more ruthless in front of goal and work out our defending of the space behind our attacking full-backs but I trust Cook and his staff are aware of this and more.

Roll on Friday night.

I knew we’d make Wrexham look daft, made a few quid on it as well. Away at County is a different proposition and I’d take a steady point now.

Horton is one of my favourite players but he had a shocker today. Made a mistake for the 1st and should have cut the cross for the 2nd out. He seemed uncomfortable on the ball and his supply was generally poor. However, he's a young lad and Cooky will nurture him well to make him a stron
ger defender. Fitzy had a decent game again apart from 2 or 3 dodgey kicks out of the box, and made one superb save when 1 on 1, Covolan has his hands full trying `to win back the keepers shirt. i hope this is the kick up the butt he needs to get his game on the right footing.
Dobra was brilliant what a player as was Oldedale. Great attacking performance in a cracking game, good point away from home and now on to Friday night to teach the Bees who are top dogs.

I thought Fitzsimons' distribution was awful, very keen for Covolan to come back into the team
