How big a backroom staff do you think we can afford to carry?

Since his arrival Cook has brought in Roberts, Hornsby and Cook Jnr compared to one player so far.

It's quite possible that some of the backroom staff and indeed some of the new young players might be part paid by the Trust, especially if the Academy is planning on increasing the competitiveness of the U23's. Going on answers given by experts, all they would have to do is to successfully argue that such an investment will be a Community benefit.

Cooky said at his Q and A session that his son was attached to the Academy. He may have been on about another son, I don't know.

Khan has got to start more games next season. He’s a fantastic engine on him, great with the ball, and can even finish. And the distance he covers must be constantly at the top of the player stats in the games he plays.

I’d like to see clarke more this season, but i feel, if the transfer roumersa are true he may initially start from the bench. But I’d certainty see him making a starting place his own by mid season.

I’d just like to see Jack Clarke make more than two starts or whatever it was, that would be start. Not sure anyone should be pinning their hopes on him.

…I think you need to qualify « can even finish » by occasionally. I like him but he’s got to work on his scoring to be a better player. One-offs like Woking away show he has the ability but maybe not enough clinical application when easier opportunities come along (and there were one or two last year). Honest, hard-working player as well as skillful who I’d really like to make an impression next season

Not going to be banks + 2 more CMs and a CAM, though I'd like to see one more of each plus banks to cover Oyeleke's inevitable breakdown.

I suspect Gyasi/Rowe/Quigley is it for our striker cover, don't need more than that really when we only play one. I would prefer to see another winger to allow Gyasi to move forward in a pinch and to give us an option for the other wing when tshimanga is fit.

I'd like to think that there is an announcement from the Club very soon to say that none of the 4 offered new contracts are going to sign them and, therefor, are looking at other options.

Similarly, we need to know that some, if not all, of those players placed on the transfer list are definately moving on.

Otherwise, our squad could be quite bloated with a potential 23 players before any further new signings.

Logically, Cook and the Club know what is happening regarding players but, for me, we need no more than 22 players with cover in each position. As such, assuming the 7 previously mentioned do leave, I believe we need a RB, a LCB, a strong defensive midfielder, a goal scoring right winger, and a GK.

King can’t be our right back unless when he ventures forward others cover for him getting back in position.

We need at least one CB/RB for sure. At the moment we have King RB, Williams RB/CB, Grimes CB and Cook CB covering three positions between the four of them.

I completely agree with what you think we still need. Though, I wouldn’t turn down Ollie Banks. Brockbank would be great as the right back as well!

I see Gyasi as the left side of the 3 behind Kabby. Rowe and Quigley are the back up for Kabby (one has fitness issues and the other isn’t up to it IMO). I’d like to see another striker through the door.
