Question: if Caldwell thought Branston was a good idea at Town why not recruit him at Partick?

Unless he was imposed by someone else and all the 'Gary's choice' stuff was just another lie, of course.

PS: Caldwell blaming others? Well I never...

Perhaps he thought it was a great idea to hire Branston because he didn’t know his ability (interests) at the time and he needed a ride to scouting activities.

If the details of his recruitment was lie then Caldwell was a party to it because he backed it up - what does that say about his character?

Hasn't won a game as Partick manager yet...

Rumours his brother is coming to help him out.

As Partick fans are about to find out - and who would deny them their optimism - the new king has no clothes.

Apparently Caldwell impressed Partick with his dossier on all their players and how he could improve them.

Within three weeks he's saying several of them aren't good enough and are on their way. So what happened to the dossier? Is it sitting in a bin with D- and See Me on the front?

...... and apparently he's now talking about the January window. Stand by for a bunch of kids and wasters on their way down. Some may even stay and complete their six month contracts. Others, like what happened, here, may decide they don't want to play for him and not turn up for training and disappear. Those that do play, may complain they've been asked to head a ball. Won at Wigan with the biggest budget in the league. Failed at Chesterfield with another decent budget. Partick Thistle? I'll get the popcorn.

Saunders, Caldwell and now Allen...all failing with decent budgets.

He probably told them they'd need 5 or 6 new players in january turn things around, and refused to accept the job until it was approved.

If you take a look at Partick's squad and compare it to their opponents, losing all three including a 5-1 drubbing seems as difficult to achieve as winning all three.

Maybe at Partick and Chesterfield Caldwell's been creating a work of art to subvert our suburban assumption that football managers will naturally try to win games ..........

Otherwise a randomly selected football fan could hardly fail to do better for Partick.

Another defeat for Gary, 4 out of 4 now.........3 wins in his last 33 games.

Partic Thistle now drop to second bottom, will this be his third consecutive relegation at his third consecutive club?

How these frauds keep getting jobs in football is astonishing
A new hope.

Guess which manager said this after his team’s fourth successive loss.
‘I thought we were magnificent from the first minute to the last - the attitude, application. I've seen a lot of things I'm extremely happy and positive with.’

Another world Gary. Another world.

It must be programmed into them regardless of the club and circumstances. I thought the same when I read this Michael Dunford interview, https://www.plymouth...unford-1756214.
