the perilious position weve been in all season with a chance bringing decent players to get us out this match , he said hed be bringing in a experienced keeper , he didnt but a untried 19 yr old , probably wages paid by bournemouth , brough dodds whod not played for shrewsbury in 10 weeks soon to be injured again , brought giles coke whod not played 1 game in 2 seasons and played 40 minutes for us out rest of the season , 2 untried from tommy wrights mates at barnsley , we deserve to go down im afraid , a untried manager , a hero who now is losing the fans , not looking good

Not looking good? It’s not looked good since the day Cook walked out the door.

Drew and Nelson are ok. Smith and Kay might be useful.

Sadly you can't really bring in decent players in the January window unless you pay the sort of money we haven't got!

Lester should go when the relegation is confirmed. Nice bloke and legendary player, but disappointed and underwhelmed with the player recruitment and the bizarre tactics in most games post-Mansfield away, which have cost us at least 8 points IMO. Those 8 extra points would see us in touch with the rest of the pack.

Have to agree- if he keeps us up he'll deserve anything he wants but going down would be a worse position that when he came- that's with ability to bring his own guys in etc.

So we go down and we get rid of Lester, who we appointing to keep us in the conference then. We need to stick with Jack imo, we’ve played our card.

Oddly if he keeps us up he could be sacked..if a new consortium in bed with Brian Deane takes over

I'd like to see Nicky Law back here. He knows the league with Alfreton, knows the players at that level and what you need.

As we saw today, we have no physical players and powderpuff players all over the park.

Jack lester had an opportunity to bring in 3 or 4 solid battle hardened players and crisis managed it, he didn't he bought in youngsters and crocks, the way it's going I might have to rename the dog.

Didn’t jack admit that getting players in in January when you are second bottom isn’t easy? What decent player would want to sign for us when there is a strong possibility we’d be relegated , not to mention the actual state of the club. Not making excuses for jack , his subs and constant changing of the team leaves a lot to be desired but come on , we can’t force good players to sign.

Maybe they offered more money warfey lad? To be honest I don’t think it would matter what players we brought in to an extent, the club is rotting and we are destined for non league. We are on a downward spiral and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon. Sad to say really.

Maybe his hands were tied as to who he could get in with the money the board allowed hence why we only got youngsters or older ones that haven't played much or injured
I think if they were serious about staying up they would have made whatever funds it took to get the better more experienced fit players in
Bringing jack in was the only option to get a few more fans back through the gate imo

Good point. I’d doubt those that have come in are much more in wages than Tommy and those who left.
A new hope.
