A localish lad, pinxton, matlock, alfreton. I wondered what folk thought of him? Very accomplished, assured under pressure, man mountain. Would love him to come here!
Out of our price bracket I suppose.

Didn't we have a chance when he was at alfreton?
Big strong bloke, excellent in the air but never really tested him that much on the ground, would have liked to see us running at him more

He's a good player.

Your last sentence is rather pointless given he's one of the best players for a bigger club who've just been promoted!

I've commented on Flint on the MOM thread already ( not to be named MOM ) but I thought he was very good indeed. He looks every bit the Championship centre half and I personally thought he looked the best central defender I have seen all season. Chuck in 11 goals a season for a massive bonus.

We couldn't. They didn't let us. They pressed us all over the pitch and stopped us playing and, second half, attacked us with pace and purpose. It seemed like it wasn't us today but that's because they were a level above.

I thought they looked better than Derby did when we played them.

From what I can remember didnt someone on our coaching staff at the time question his attitude after watching him play?

I thought that Freeman was the best player. He influenced the game BIGTIME.

He put in a good shift today. Very big lad.... Made me laugh when he wasted a bit of time and a young 15/16 old lad sat behind me shouted to him he was a lanky streak of slash and he would knock his head off. Took the edge of the loss for me that did, hilarious..

I thought they looked better than Derby too and much better equipped to survive (and prosper) in the Championship than we are

Obviously, they have probably spent a fair whack too. Our squad would need some major strengthening to stand any chance of survival

I don't care now about survival. Let's get there and enjoy the ride!
