I agree. Was surprised we let him go to be honest. Good player and great person.
All the best gregor

Can't see anything other than a struggle for Crewe next season.

He's versatile, can play at centre half and left back, and always gives 100%. His big drawback is injury and big ones at that, you keep him fit and you have a good player on your hands though

Afternoon pal.
Reliable lb who can also play cb. Providing he keeps fit you've got a good player.
Professional in his duties - down to earth certainly not a big time Charlie just gets on with it.
Wish we didn't let him go but nothing we can do now.

Started shakily for us at left back, Unforunately had a few injury problems but each time he's come back he's jus got stonger and stronger, calm on the ball, but not the quickest, a good signing for any team in the two bottom leagues CB or LB aswell

He was a pretty ordinary full back (with largely failed experiment at left midfield) but after his long injury lay offs he came back at centre half and played really really well.
Decent defender, 100%er, decent in the air
Not very quick, had a really bad run with injuries, not the calmest on the ball.
All in my opinion obviously

Ultimately, despite being a steady and versatile performer, I reckon Sheridan just had enough of him being out injured and let go, which is understandable though disappointing.
It's a genuine shame the EPPP will screw over top producers of talent like Crewe in the future, though I'm glad to see the setup rewarded with a good fee for Powell.

Always gave 100% and has done remarkably well to come back from two serious injuries, getting better each time....
I can't understand why we let him go to be honest.....he played the last 7 or 8 games last season and looked sharp again....and we are totally lacking cover at CH and LB at the moment....wouldn't be a great wage so really can't understand why a one year deal wasn't offered.....esp if he is over his injuries...
Anyway, I hope he does well, as he is a good bloke and gives 100%....shame some town fans got on his back when he was a young lad making it in the game...but thats probably made him stronger...good luck to the lad and I wish he was still here....
