Don't think its possible to extend 3mth loan periods, maybe an emergency 1mth deal could be done. Would be a REAL COUP if John Sheridan could capture him and would shut lots of people up on here who still bang on about BH & DA ambitions for the club.
We also need to tie down deals for Mark Little & Dave Perkins maybe to end of season, but there must be a chance of signing Perkins in January, doubt Wolves will let Little go...
SUPA JACK LESTER WILL MAKE YOU LOOK S..TE

Have to say I think the best we could hope for is a year long loan deal.

But is it, a promising player who will obviously go into a higher league - a good investment I'd say.
When you look at Huddersfield,Scunthorpe and their players we have a long way to go to get to that standard. We are going to need youngsters of Donals potential, especially if we get into Div 1 next season.

Thats backs up what i had heard,£200k was the price being mentioned,i think Donal wants to come here & the club want him here.Yes it's a massive price tag for our club, but as Dave in football heaven stated,if we want div1 football next season then investment has to be made in regard to the talents of good youngsters like Donal. At the end of the day i suppose the balls in DA court in regard to any movement on Donal, let's face it he is the only one with that type of cash to make it happen,is he willing to pay that type of fee,who know's,but one thing is for certain it is going to take some sort of investment on the playing side if we want to get promoted this season.

why is it a massive price tag?....we got 350 k (which wasnt enough by the way ) for ward and in theory we have spent 30k badly on gritton, its surely about investing in the club and donal imo is a cast iron investment

If Donal is valued at £200 000 and the player wants to join us, I wouldn't hesitate at all. He's showing real potential and signing young players with potential and the right attitude is the way forward. We need players like him, who can create chances and score goals. Looks a bargain at £200 000 for me. Come on Uncle Barry, show some ambition and splash out before other clubs get interested.

There is a difference between £200k being a bargain and us being able to raise that cash though. DA has £6m in the club and you could understand if he wasnt keen on ploughing more in with the current climate.
I would love to see us sign him but you dont see many clubs in the bottom two divisions shelling out this sort of cash.

That's true Jon, but if the ambition is to become a Championship club, we would certainly need to spend money at players. Players with the potiental Donal possesses and who wants to join us (if rumours are true) don't grow on threes.
But I understand that the club might struggle to pay such an amount. It would be a great sign to the fans though.
Where are the rich local businessmen when we need them ? Support the local club, give us a great signing !!

Most of our business partners haven't even sponsored the goals we score!!. But we are a good source of cheap advertising for them
