yep. It must come as a bit of a shock for all those who have been arguing that Leven is a fat lazy bustard who wasn't fit to lace Allott's boots, or that our midfield is the weak point in the team. That's a bid from Brighton for Leven today then, following a bid by Hull for Niven last year.

Leven has created more goals with his long throws in 6 months than Allott did with either hands or feet in 3 years, and anybody who watched Lester peeling off Stockport's centre half and running into space in the certain knowledge that the ball would arrive in a forwardly direction on a sixpence from Leven's trusty left foot would recognise the difference at once.

I don't know what's happening with this transfer, but after his successes with Folan, Lester, Kovacs, Lowry, and all the loanees that have come in, I have every confidence that Rico will call it right.

I can see why you call yourself Dim

I'd have liked to have seen Neil Lennon sign. Gone to Wycombe from Forest.

This is the Leven who's too fat, can't run and is the main man in a totally useless midfield, according to numerous posts on here?
At least Brighton have done their homework and are prepared to back their judgement to the tune of 100 grand.

If you have actually read my posts in relation to Leven, you will have seen that I do rate him. (see the injury posts for example)

Its incredible though to suggest he is worth 300k just because rochdale sold a player for that amount.
A new hope.

Just had a call from a mate who's a Forest fan, he reckons they've put a bid in too. Cracking, let's have a bidding war. First to £300k and he's yours!
I'm embarrassed by the actions of those who run my club.

You really think Leven is worth 200k? Even if he was on a 3 year deal thats still ridiculous considering his impact this season which could be best described as average with some potential.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

I haven't even said he's worth the £100k have i,the more the better i say.

I will say he is worth much more than wonder boy Allott, they can have him for £10k but they haven't gone for him have they.

Can we not sell Moondog instead of Leven?

He's becoming a bit of a star down south:

Quote:

The Police helicopter has just been scrambled, flew very low over my flat.

Codesign: Moondog on my vhf airband

Have they gone to collect Leven from Gatwick?

Why would I lie ?

Leven deal looking unlikely unless he's down here already as we wanted a thorough look at his knee during the medical. Not heard any more on Cox but seems likely Charlton will be back in with a bid after enquiring on his availability last night. I'd guess £500k + add ons would be a fair offer.

Is he goin to put his heart and soul on the line for Chesterfield knowin that he's a wanted man???

Even at a canter (and that's being generous) he's holding a weak midfield together and still looks perhaps the best footballer in the midfield for town.

I'd rather we was rid and found a new Clingan type somewhere. Someone who can move, compete and pass. Basically Winter with a rocket up his backside....but without that replacement and with Winter not even getting a look in much, I fear we could end up midtable come May.

A situation that was and has been avoidable. Before this season started we were particularly weak in midfield...with Gareth Davies being released as well....and if Leven does go, we're going to be very short now.

I don't understand why we haven#t sorted out the midfield this year when it was so obvious it has needed bolstering. Barnes and the young Sheffield United player both weak and unprepared for the nitty gritty of league 2...what we need is the finished article.

Please Rico...get some players in. Or do we not have a plan B again just like on a Saturday afternoon?
