Sharman and Rawson are cracking prospects from our youth set up.

I was much more impressed with Rawson who is only 17. His brilliant work down the right made the fourth and what a touch and then cool finish to roll in the fifth. What a grafter he is !
Sharman at centre back impressed as well. I spoke to Liera after the game and he was singing the praises of both.

And so he should be both are exciting prospects, Sharman was also a striker who scored loads of goals, but we've converted him into a cracking centre back. Luke excites me its not just his goals, but his work rate, pace and footballing head, its a pity we were struggling because Jack could have brought him in with 6 games to go. I hope both keep the heads screwed on right not like German, I'm sure Martin will keep a close eye on them both and other youngsters at the club.

It pleases me that we have a fair number of youngsters coming through.
If these can be introduced into the team in a controlled manner this can only be good for the club. Maguire, Rowley, Wakefield and Ofoegbu will perhaps be ahead of the likes of Rawson and Sharman in this respect. Then we have Nicholson, who prosumably is injured, not forgetting Carter, who MA reckons is a good'un. All 21 or under.

Maguire - looks a good prospect has a touch of class
Muggleton - bit all over the place positionaly but blimey that throw in is incredible will cause mayhem
Walker - took his goal really well but faded a little
Rowley - kept going looked good
Wakefield - impressive upto getting a bad challenge resulting in him coming off MA says he is by far the best of the Youth team
Sinnott - only real negative just didnt look committed
Smith - looked solid when coming on
Wedgebury - got a bit about him sprayed it around nicely and got stuck in
Rawson - impressed looks a good player in the making
A very decent workout against a very physical side. At one stage we had to make 4 Subs in quick succession due to bad challengers. They are only one division below us but looked miles of our standard. Remember these were mainly youngsters with only a sprinkling of experienced personnel.
They showed heart and desire and worked really hard. MA never stops talking and was giving the linesman an earful from time to time. He misses nothing even the small things for example he noticed Maguire kicking the ball away after a free kick being awarded and said to his assistant make a note of that be talking to him on Monday because if that was a league match thats a booking !
Alll in all a good day and lots of positives and the lads really seem to be in a good place

What about young Ofoegbu and did MA say anything about the other lad on a six month contract, Nicholson?

For me Ify didn't have a great game
Thanks Moondog - thought Nicholson must be injured but he doesn't seem to get a mention in any interviews or anything.
Perhaps, this is a reason why Muggleton is with us with both Talbot & Nicholson not being available. Even then both Smith and Binnion-Williams can play LB.
