I’d heard he was a bit of a divisive figure in the dressing room last year. If that was the case then hopefully MA has changed him, or brings him to task pretty sharply.

I think this is good news for Maguire. I had fully expected our 38 year old to be captain and chosen ahead of Larry, but maybe that's not the case.

I'm sure MA has enough experience to ignore rumours or what's gone before and give everyone a clean slate and judge how he sees, after all it's him who will get it in the neck if it goes tits up again.

Judging by how they performed on the pitch most of the players were devisive as they certainly didn't play as a team very often.

However, didn't both Jack and Evo have him as their captain?
