Good evening.
Tonight we have signed a 24-year-old centre-forward called Lee Shaw, who this morning was in a factory at 6am to pack boxes.
He has signed a two-year deal with a one-year option, subject to the paperwork going through.
We chose a hungry, young man, on his way up, rather than a seen it, done it, bought the t-shirt type, who would have been just coming here to pick up his last pay packet and cruise in third gear.
He’s got an excellent goal ratio, a great attitude and he’s chosen us ahead of a decent Football League club.
We’ve got a player who matches our desire and drive to be successful in the future and not gloat about his past

Now that would be a good signing if he was as good as Hursty.

Gives us more time to look at the trialists now without panicking

I thought similar with Ross Hannah when he was banging in the goals for you thinking he could make the step up to league level but it wasn't to be, now at tomorrow's opponents Gainsborough.
I'd expect the lad has a lot of work to put in to reach the required fitness level of a full timer.
Makes you wonder if MA has also considered Jacob Hazel who banged in even more goals last season at the same level
