Really don't get people who say they are underwhelmed by the fixtures. Unless you been on Mars surely people knew which teams were in this league for last couple months........ who were people expecting us to play opening game..... Man City?? lol :-) Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Solihull Moors twice in three matches - Boxing Day and New Years Day?

That's the usual case with the Conference..home and away Derby games v one rival over the Xmas period.

Ebbsfleet away for starters

given it is first game and a new ground, presume there will be a decent attendance at this one? I reckon I can juggle my diary to be able to make it - then off on hols on 8th for a couple of weeks and busy bank holiday weekend so Sept before I can make my second (away) game...

Is Ebbsfleet a town or just a railway station with a football club near it

Does this officially make Solihull our local rivals?

Do they play in yellow and blue?

They've been a bit selective with the cup weekends that are on the list. The gap in October is for the final qualifying round of the FA Cup, and the one in December is for the (Buildbase) FA Trophy first round (the second round is on the list!)

Yes. An unusual consequence of that is that we will have played Barnet home and away by 1st December, three and a half weeks before our first game versus Solihull!

Don't book those rail tickets yet - BT are announcing live games at 5pm (apparently means daft kick off times)

In terms of watching my football club, I wish i had been on Mars for the last two seasons.

Like many I have been in denial. I ignored league tables and Sunday papers last season and deluded my self all was well.

I refused to look at the Vanarama tables (apart from a quick glimpse)

I renewed my ticket on a sunny day and tried to forget the depths we have sunk to.

No i didnt expect Man City not even Lincoln City.

I just cannot comprehend the Bunkum grounds, the distance to travel, and the suspected standard

I did watch a couple of games at Alfreton when they were in the top non league flight.

It was grim .

Please order me a space shuttle to Mars mate not a train ticket to Ebbsfleet.

Notwithstanding that i suspect a few new grounds will be visited

Will be a decent following I reckon.

Direct train from London Bridge to Northfleet so chance to have a few beers in the smoke

Salford v Orient on the opening day - 12:45pm KO apparently.

Northfleet is the nearest station, assume it is a town.

I work in London so another day in the smoke holds no appeal for me!

If you're coming from Chesterfield it's quicker to get the train from St Pancras to Ebbsfleet International - might be a couple of quid more on the travel cost - and then a slightly longer walk at the other end.

Having said that, the previously mentioned train to Northfleet (the nearest station) will hardly put a massive dent in your day.

There's not much there so it's unlikely you'll want to make a day of the area's cultural highlights.

Had looked at that option but the lure of a few beers in London Bridge is tempting me in.
