i humbly come to you asking if any of you have any disposable income lying around to contribute to the following then it'd be greatly appreciated. the fella involved is my auntie's husband, nearly 17k has been raised in a day and that's incredible but the target is 250k for something which could potentially save his life so any donations would be greatly appreciated. he's been doing his job as a firefighter for 5 years whilst having radiotherapy and chemotherapy. thanks everyone xx

All medical treatment "could" be free in theory but it would put everyone's taxes up and people suddenly start being less keen on the idea then.

They've got enough to start treatment which is amazing. Obviously now need to keep going! It's getting some great exposure.

Update for those who took their car to one of the Derbyshire Fire Stations last week - they raised an amazing £21,000 .for Stefan Hawcroft.

Sad news, our paths had crossed over the years and he seemed a nice enough chap.
Its a desperate shame the hard work put in round the county couldn’t have given a more positive outcome.
