in a totally dismal season, I have to say well done to Kristian dennis for hitting double figures in his 1st season in the football league, much has been made of the lack of service to our strikers, some have tried to defend ched's lack of goals to this, maybe right, yet dennis has outscored ched evans and finishes our top scorer. well done that man.

he puts in lots of effort but he's not big enough, not fast enough and he misses to many easy chances to be our main striker next year. Bench warmer

wouldn't argue with that e3 but in a crap season, individually he's done ok.

He'll only be a 'bench warmer' if we bring in somebody better. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't put money on that.

That can reach double figures in a p**s poor league one side.
Your opinion is obviously wrong cos the facts are there for all to see. You know, over the past season we have a new head of recruitment who can't spot good players, a manager who is so arrogant & clueless that nobody wants to play for him and now we've got a set of supporters who still want to pull the players down when (not all of them) they've clearly had a half decent season.
It really is pathetic that because we are unhappy at the owners we feel the need to criticise everybody else at the club aswell.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Bit harsh!
10 goals in the worst side in the league (which went something like 8 games without scoring) is good going

Because of my self imposed exile I've hardly seen much of Dennis, Nolan and young Rowley, though from the little I have and knowing what little will be used on squad improvements, we really ought to be building our squad around these three. IF all the players had their desire we might JUST have scraped enough points to have stayed up. As others have said, this squad is probably the worst squad ever at Chesterfield and definitely the worst in the football league, and all have been messed about by different managers and systems, so next season, hopefully in a better squad with a team of grafters (it's all we can hope for), these three should look the part (again, if the manager believes in them).
Not that any of this really matter until we've got new owners as the football is totally irrelevant, apart from the brave souls that are still wanting to endure it and to the players who deserve a bit of credit... So well done Dennis in your first football league season and I hope you can kick on from here.

Yes he scored double figures in a poor team, he did however miss a fair amount of chances that most strikers in this league would have buried. Should he have been a bit more clinical then we may have had a fighting chance of staying up. Although it's not just down to his finishing that we are relegated, poor management, poor recruitment, poor tactics and team selection and the stripping down of assets destined us for the drop.

I fear in this period of austerity we may reach a new low before any semblance of a resurrection takes place. We bounced back up quite quickly with ambition and backing last time, this time.....

Here here.
He looks to me like the best player on the pitch on the highlights. If he and the other first year pro's Donohue, Nolan, Rowley, Maguire can get direction from some experienced hairy assed L2 triers alongside them they will do well.

He'll be fine in league 2 and will chip in but we need a danger man (and about 10 more decent signings)

Your saying that he had a fair amount of chances and yet people would stick up for our star striker who didn't score goals or get shots in because he never got the service.
So does that mean the team weren't passing to Evans but were to Dennis?
Or does it mean that Dennis was a really hardworking striker that would generate his own chances and still gets criticised for not scoring enough in his first season of professional football?
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

I thought he'd already played professional football but dropped to non league?

I'm not doubting his effort, nor over emphasising Ched's, the fact remains that a lot of chances were squandered (and not just by KD), that we could and should've done better with.
