So you'd say CT hasn't done well in refusing the lower bids and doubling our money? There really is no pleasing some folk. Very odd.

Shock horror but I do sort of agree with you to a point. Doyle aside, assuming we got circa 700k for Tendayi then I think the sales over the past season have been good business financially. Whether they'll be good deals football wise remains to be seen in terms of what happens in player recruitment in the very short term. Long term these sales were always going to happen, it's the speed at which they are hitting us that's causing the jitters coupled with nothing more than sound bites regarding new faces coming in.
East stand second class citizen.

Double edged sword. Yes he has done well by playing hard ball in terms of fees and deserved a green plus 1

Downside, we are just a week from playing a Barnsley side who are stronger than last year while currently we are looking at sending our reserve side.

If the Coke/Eagles signings come off then that will make me feel better. At the moment we are looking at 5 very tough fixtures to start the season and a significantly weaker side.
A new hope.

Don't worry all will be well
Uncle Dave won't let anything bad happen
In Saunders we trust
We're all town aren't we?
No one would have predicted last preseasons that the team would reach the play offs
All the players who have been sold have significantly dropped in skill/importance to our team as soon as they left
We've got somewhere between £1000 and £4m to spend on new players
There's still 8 days to go (well, 7 and a half now)
Etc

Besides, look outside... it's a beautiful day.
It's not the despair. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand.

their fans think not. It does look likely that they will get £5m quid though if Everton sell Stones.

If your great aunt was on her deathbed and you were in the will, would you buy a Cortina before her death, or wait and buy an Audi Quattro after her death?, or do both and waste money?.

If you were CT you'd wait till after her death, then buy a Cortina anyway.
