That interview has actually changed my opinion slightly of Chris Turner. First bit of positivity I have witnessed from him about the club, fans and philosophy.

i think chris turner has done a very good job of saying things the fans want to hear during this interview. With less than 2 weeks before the new season commences, and with numerous big players for us heading for the exit door it is only natural for someone in the club hierachy to complete an interview like this. Dont get me wrong, i like the things he's saying, especially regarding player incomings but i wont hold my breath, i still remain to be impressed by the turner appointment. i honestly fail to see what he brings to the club

He doesn't half like making a rod for his own back. Saying things like signings are going to start happening in the next 48 to 72 hours is just inviting people to call him a liar if it doesn't happen.

Interesting chat anyway, I don't put too much faith in his interviews usually and I won't this time but he sounded upbeat and optimistic so I suppose that's something to cling to.

After the FA Cup farce and the interview he gave I was heavily critical of CT.

So in the sense of fair play............

Excellent interview, his best IMO since joining the club.

Good interview I thought, he seemed very open and honest. I'm sure some folk won't be happy and will dissect every word but I think he did ok.

Don't like the things he says about the debt though , I'm sure he said afew months ago that we were trading without loss for the first time so surely with some of the player sales we can reduce the debt a little ?

I thought it was a good interview but this is also the bit I found surprising. He said that this is the first year we'll not have to increase the debt (understandably given the player sales) but he didn't indicate that it would be reducing either. The accounts will make fascinating reading for sure. Certainly having to find c.£2m of saleable assets per year is not a sustainable business model.

I took him as referring to cash flow rather than increasing the debt. We may be running at a profit but still have cash flow difficulties in a given month. As we don't have a bank overdraft it would appear that we have been using the bank of DA on these occasions

From what I am led to believe there is a few debts that are rearing their heads that were not even known about when DA took over for some reason or another.

I do honestly believe that this is 100% correct and they are not little amounts but big ones.

Last season: 'We're trading in the black'.

Last week: 'We don't have to sell'.

Now: 'We need sales to balance the books'.

I'll say it again; why anyone takes this stuff in any way seriously is beyond me.

He said that a few weeks after the sale of Cooper. Make no mistake, the club is trading at a huge loss, only made sustainable by selling players.
