Pitch nibbled a bit this morning but wasn't a minefield. Broad bowled well and the Aussie batting, as per Melbourne 2010 when they were all out for 90, couldn't cope with the movement. Poor shot selection going hard at the ball all the time. England have cantered to 150 odd which shows the pitch is decent.

England proving that the pitch hasn't decided this game but the bowling. If England can get a score on it then maybe the aussies batting needs to be looked at rather than the pitch

Wow. Wish I'd been there today to see that instead of in a meeting in Manchester.

To be honest It has been a shocking series really, every game decided by the pitch, really poor cricket.

How can you say that about this test ?
Just poor shot selection and some quality bowling with terrific fielding.
I never thought I would be leaving Trent bridge with a team having a lead on day 1.

I suspect England would have been dismissed cheaply had they batted first, maybe not as low as 60 mind

I stand by what I say, pitches have decided every test match. Every game totally one sided. At least England have learned from their Lords mistake

Notts green top has cost them dear though, full refund today isn't it. Hopefully they might have to think twice about poaching other counties talent

Rubbish we batted 2 hours afterwards where nothing about the track would have changed.

Our bowling was just far better than theirs, did you hear Clarke saying they need to learn from us on how to swing the ball ? We did it and they didn't.

They said the same in 2005 after being undone by reverse swing!

I dont like broad but I can't tell you how much he shut me up that morning, the only pitches that would have stopped that bowling taking wickets would have been in the West Indies

Anyway.

Memory of the Summer: telling the missus I'd join her and the Granddaughter on the beach after listening to the first few overs at Trent Bridge. Two glorious hours later I'm stood up to my ankles in Skeggy seawater with a silly grin all over my face.

Mine's something similar, whilst signing on at the Jobcentre my advisor informed me she was taking her husband to Trent Bridge on the Sunday, I told her it would be over by Saturday and she'd get a refund, Imagine my surprise when I get home and they were 4 down after only 30 minutes. Go in a fortnight later and said I told you so!!!!

Me and another poster on here walked into Trent bridge and they were handing out the 4 and 6 cards just as they announced we were bowling Mr Picko said "we won't need these now" I said "we will after lunch" jokingly, I had not even found my seat before the 3rd wicket went down.
