No excuse - but this is football these days. Pompey lost Redknapp to Spurs while the team were in Portugal the day of a Europa Cup game. Joe Jordan then got an a plane to an away game at Newcastle as the First Team Coach then announced he was joining Redknapp at Spurs when he looked at his mobile after the aircraft had landed.
