All.

Sorry to come on here with something not totally football related. However, some of you may recall Dazspire's recent post on here about our friend and original member of the East Stand Massive, Terry Walker.

Terry passed away just after Christmas having endured 18 months of having Motor Neurone Disease when it finally claimed him.

What we didn't know until his funeral was that during that time he had consented to be effectively a guinea pig for tests and research into better understanding, and hopefully finding a cure for, this horrible disease.

My daughter, Erin, has known Terry since she was 11/12 years old through attending games. She's now turned 18 and was at his funeral. On hearing the above she has decided she wants to fundraise for the MND Association and is running the Dronfield 10K on March 19th.

I've posted the link to her Just Giving page below if you have time to have a look. Any donations however modest would be appreciated by the charity and Terry's family and friends.

I will gladly give, it took a friend and fellow footballer of mine and a horrible way to go, good luck with the fundraising

Lovely thing for Erin to do. 13 miles is no easy thing. I have donated a little something.

19 March is my 50th birthday so that, together with the fact that a friend's brother also passed on from MN, made it seem a good thing to do.

Good luck with the training and good luck with the run :)

Best wishes,

Stevie xxxx

Jon.

Erin completed the Dronfield 10k yesterday and raised an amount of £565 for the MND Association.
Thanks so much to those on here who contributed.
