Here's Ian Evatt being utterly scathing on young players and lack of desire.

Absolutely bang on the money. Why this man was't Captain ahead of Liddle defies belief.
If only....

Nice one Gary, that's just what we need. Give them a little motivation that they didnt need by claiming we have the upper hand. They played the same time as us, and we had to play a man light for a bit as well, so I don't see where all the low energy levels come from if ours are supposedly better, plus the fitness of our players is hardly great for this league. Plus they'll have players wanting to stake a claim for a start against Tottenham in a few weeks. He better hope we win now or that interview will look silly.

So, we received no bids, apart from one we received from Sweden. (Which we've had to admit since we were exposed as lying).

It was rejected as didn't meet valuation, but now a deal can be done for the original amount rejected???

Absolutely laughable!

It reads as though it was rejected on the back of they couldnt prove the funds etc as much as the figure offered.

It's understandable for DA to have specific requirements before an offer can be taken seriously, but did they reply to this offer by saying 'thanks for your interest but before we can give it consideration we would require you to do X,Y,Z...
Come back to us after you have done this and we can start negotiations"

To outward appearances, it seems this didn't happen and the offer was rejected out of hand.
It's not the despair. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand.

Maybe SS can clarify, but I read it as though they were simply told 'NO' and it didn't get anywhere near proof of funds etc.

It beggars belief that if SS is correct with the background of the consortium involved in the bid and we have no reason to dispute it then surely DA and AC must have realised that proof of funding however it was obtained would have been a mere formality during any discussions

I wonder if DA and AC did any background research into the consortiums members or did they really dismiss out of hand?

As I stated in an earlier thread perhaps the fact that they were really big hitters did not sit too kindly
with DA who looks as though he wants to call all the shots all of the time

IMO it was rejected on the grounds of a bank going through the books.
A new hope.

Just one thing here to back up Stockholm. He's always been thorough on here.
Back in the midst of time, he was the one who actually did some due diligence regarding the middle eastern claims of Bingo & Co by going to people in Shell Oil and in the UK Embassy out there to discover some huge holes in the claims that were coming out of the 'international academy':
