Are we really expected to believe its not for profit, although that seems to be the reality seeing who is associated with it

When I see the accounts of a 'not for profit' outfit, I go straight to the senior executive's salaries disclosure, and then form an opinion on whether its not for profit, or for the profit of a few.

If any money from the club was going into helping fund it would it show in the accounts?

It will obviously show in the management accounts, but that level of detail will not show in the accounts that are distributed to shareholders and submitted to Companies House. However, if an individual was a named director of CFC Development School Ltd & CFC 2001 Ltd, the accounts would have to show related party transaction between the two companies.

There's absolutely no reason why transactions between the two companies (if there are any) shouldn't be disclosed in CFC's accounts. Email AC, stating the shares that you hold and ask him to confirm what payments were made to the development school.

I know from our discussions over a number of months that this news will have come as no surprise to you.

Yet another highly embarrassing incident for Turner & by association, Chesterfield Football Club.

A total & utter shower. This lot don't deserve our support. They just don't get it, do they?

Obviously, one can only read this and glean one side of the story. However, if I was the one on the end of a £700 "the cheque's in the post" scenario, this would be being resolved through the courts by now. If anyone at the Club seriously thinks that such an outcome wouldn't reflect on CFC then I'll have a pint of what they're on - the disclaimer on the website is (in my opinion) certainly not sufficient to overcome the strength of all the other CFC-biased promotional statements and "blurb". To be effective, the disclaimer would need to be sufficiently prominent to overcome the other statements in influencing the average consumer's transactional decision. Only the courts can decide on that matter, but "good luck" ...

There was one from 10/10/14 - £2,334.00 (A6AA680D)

The subject was raised at the AGM on 23/10/14, Turner knew nothing about it and neither did the club's accountant. It was eventually settled on 14/11/14 but only after a supporter had to intervene because those involved couldn't find the judgement!

Heyup.
Could you do me a favour and provide links to the latest published accounts for the Trust and the Development School please.? I found one for the Trust, for y/e 2014, but surely there has been one published since then?.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

I think CFC plans to charge this enterprise for the privilege of using the CFC name in it's marketing, just as it plans to charge the Trust. Has LS got a legitimate salaried role in the official CFC youth setup?.

So CT decides what he's going to charge himself - CT also draws his salary no matter what amount of time he devotes between the two jobs Nice!!!

Something is very wrong with the financial set up at our club, gravy train springs to mind, certain people getting a cut of transfer fees, overall debt not being reduced after several high profile transfers.WTF is going on?

Think you will find that this is standard fayre re transfers, the thing that leaves the bitter taste is that no matter what ever the size and seriousness of THE DEBT no one is prepared to fore-go their cut for the general reduction of the debt in order that we can have a level that is workable. DA is for ever stressing this point.

I know I'm expecting something out of cloud cuckoo land in this respect .

Even with a figure of 4 million in transfers received it makes one wonder what in the end comes off of the debt what with the percentage that goes onto the playing budget and the commissions paid down the greasy pole.

Once again we have issues raised which should be questions for the AGM, maybe we should have a thread for these items so they don't get lost in time.

I don't mind the board having prior notice of such concerns in fact it gives them time to put forward the answer without the excuse of 'We'll get back to you on that one' What it really wants though is someone with a bit of fire in their belly and acumen to challenge the answers and not to be fobbed off.
