What's the issue with Novak, thought it was slight facial injury and minor concussion, wouldn't have thought it would take more than a week to recover , bit odd that he wasn't even on bench!

Bit odd that the referee decided that he had fouled the Dale player by assaulting his elbow with his face

Isn't it a 7day rest period if a player is concussed?
A new hope.

If a player suffers a concussion he has to miss the next game......i believe....no big issue

Odd rule, next game might be a Tuesday or following Saturday , how do they make a call on that.

Maybe seven days as kitb's has posted either way its no issue...and he should be back for the next game.

It's a big issue if not treated properly.
I think it's still a minimum 6 days following certain tests but club doctor will advise -usually more or as much as the doc can get away with!

I believe there were questions as to whether he lost consciousness in last week's incident. I also understand his parent club controls the return to play guidelines and so Birmingham might have had the final say.

In one of his interviews Saunders said he would probably play if he was allowed to, so I guess you are correct one way or the other

Here's the steps recommended by the FA for concussion. Link

Might be that he had a bit of a headache on the Monday so his return is pushed back a couple of days.

Saunders said in one his pre match interviews that there was a question as to whether he was unconscious before he hit the ground, and, in any event, Birmingham would assess him and have the last say.
