Steve Eyre leaving just months after he apparantly signed a new permanant contract shows imo that Caldwells loyalty to Graham Barrow is greater than his for Eyre

As they say thats football

I couldn't see where Eyre really fitted in, I feel more confident with Barrow as no.2., he certainly changed it on Saturday when he came down and spoke to GC, moving Floures into midfield centre was a master stroke.

'Masterstroke' seems a little OTT for simply moving a player to his favoured position.

But had he not started him further back at the start he would have been mullered on here for not having a left back etc

That was a master stroke given what selection / tactics we have had to put up with for 20 odd games under GC.At last he got it right for once.

He probably had no alternative but the change made sounds pretty basic to me. I can't imagine many people scratched their chins and thought 'now I never saw that coming'.

The reaction on our row was along the lines, 'at last, they were over running us in midfield'.
And ...hopefully we start next time with a formation like this...

In relation to recent tactics - it was earthshatterlingly good.

Master stroke? I think Stevie Wonder could see the tactical change required there. Thankfully though if it wasn't for Barrow, I don't think GC would have made the change.

On the point of Eyre - Really disappointed to see him go. He seemed to be on a similar level to Paul Cook in terms of passion for the game, and seemed to have a really good grip on current relations between club & fans and rebuilding that - whereas GC has always seemed ignorant/dismissive to it all.

Can only think there has been a personality clash between them both - I know which one of them appealed to me more on the face of it, having attended both recent Q&A sessions with the management staff

Have you ever spoken to him ? Myself and Dim View approached him last season at one of the Proact get togethers and he was neither ignorant nor dismissive towards us. On the contrary.

Staff turnover is one of the key indicators of how well a business is being run.

I did wonder where Steve was as he wasn't in dugout on Saturday instead GB was in discussion with GC. So when I seen this it made sense and clearly GC has chose to stick with him and this opened exit door for Eyre
All town aren't we?
