Caldwell says it's not. Its a game we have to try and win.
His words not mine.

of course, 3 in 21 is a 50% increase on 2 in 21

Its currently 2 from 20, so no wonder he wants to win the game tonight, if we do it'll increase his win rate by 50%!

You can't count Coventry, he wasn't officially manager. 2 wins out of 20.

Sorry Sammy, misread your earlier post in response to 60s 70s Spireite, 2 from 20!

Not to be picky, but it wont. Using your figures the win rate would be as follows;

2 from 20 is a 10% win rate 3 from 21 would be 14.3% an increase of only 4.3%

You're talking about the numbe of games he's won, not his win rate which needs to take into consideration all of the games played under his management.

You are right, but I obviously meant his number of wins would increase by 50%.

Either way, it's not gonna happen tonight.

Caldwell will. The court of public opinion strengthens it's objection to him every game he loses. A win over Wednesday and progression in a cup we are absolutely dire in would represent a lot of much needed optimism for him.

Whatever way around it is, better managers in CFC's history have been sacked with far better records.

He's a dead man walking or at least he should be.

He's been given the opportunity to virtually re-build the squad from scratch. If he isn't the right man he shouldn't have been allocated the funding. I suspect he's safe until Christmas at least.

Sheridan? Given all summer to rebuild then went after first 3 without a win.

Only thing that supports your argument is surely we've no money left to change managers again.

I know. I'm merely saying I suspect he will be given until Christmas by the CFC hierarchy; that doesn't mean I agree with that decision. I would've gotten rid of him at the end of last season. He inherited a poor squad but we went down without a whimper and tactics and formations were bewildering.

He'll be lucky to be there at Christmas and as per last season that would be too late.

Felt sorry for Wilson but he was outdated and football has moved on. Having said that, were we in the drop zone when he was given the already too late push?

Caldwell already doesn't know his best team and consistantly plays people out of positon or not good enough for the system he wishes to adopt.

I wish him all the luck in the world but we need a GCSE in 4-4-2 and not a masters degree in 3-5-2.
