It would be unusual for a second sell on rather than it being the norm.

Didn't we have the same thing with the lad we signed from Leeds, went to Wigan? Had a broken leg? What's his name? Scored in the league cup run we had.

Caleb Folan, that was it.

It's probably not worth thinking about then unless he goes for stupid money. Well done whoever negotiated the deal for Mansfield

If I understand it right then, we get a sell-on every time Clucas moves for a transfer fee during his career? Seems odd.

Only if there is a sell on each time he moves.

If he went to newcastle and it was a flat fee then any subsequent moves would not benefit us.
A new hope.

and only if there is profit involved.

Tendayi's situation is interesting anawl. He's entering his final year.

You'd imagine he'd be getting itchy feet on the bench, and will always be behind Lowton on current form/ability.

Lowton might be attracting interest higher up the game so he might be tempted to stay for his chance, otherwise you'd think he'd pick up a decent Championship deal somewhere.

10million fee

5% sell on so around 440k
Less 20% to the yellow stain

Around 350k to us.
A new hope.

I'd be surprised if he goes for that much, particularly to West Brom, I can only think of a couple of times they've spent that sort of money (Chadli, Livermore, Rondon?)

In the Mirror this morning that Clucas is set to leave Hull with Swansea, Leicester and Burnley all keen. Hull will listen to offers of £12m...!

I understand the "sell-on" fee is a low one - do you know for a fact that it is 5%?

All I heard is that it is low compared to that we have on the Tendayi deal - yet, I have heard that the sell-on for Tendayi is either 20% or even 25%.

Not looking like we'll make a deal on that one then.

£350k if it is 5% and he goes for £10m is hardly an insignificant sum on top of the original fee.

To be fair a small sell on fee is understandable as we got a relatively big fee for him

I was talking about the darikwa sell on, ain't no way he's ever being sold for £10 million.
And isn't 5% of £10 million £500,000?

Like you say Dave, people are getting excited about Clucas going for a big fee ,the fans won't see any sell on money invested back into club nor will we be told how much the sell on clause was.

Who's getting excited about a big sell on fee? don't you think that everyone, apart from the keyboard coward that is, realises now that we're absolutely potless and us fans no longer expect any monies to go into the "club", so to speak. It's the same reason why warfeys posts get so many reds...we know we're skint, we know we're all frustrated, devastated etc at the way the clubs been run these last few seasons, we know we don't trust a single thing that certain people tell us,we know, we know, we know..there's no need to keep posting multiple threads to tell us.
